The York Inset Scooter Club recently hosted their summer 'Planes to Trains' charity ride, raising £419.04 to support the Magnolia Centre at York Hospital. 🛵

The event saw vintage scooters, motorbikes and mopeds travel from Digby's Café in Sherburn in Elmet to Murton Park in York as part of their VJ Day commemorations. Participants also attended a Service of Remembrance, and the day included a special celebration for Club President, Ken Cooke, who received a birthday cake for his 101st birthday!

We're incredibly grateful to everyone who took part and helped make the event such a success. The funds raised will help make such a difference for patients and their families within the Magnolia Centre at York Hospital!

The impact on families has been incredible, and we want to fund a cuddle bed for York Hospital too.

Only a few places left for the Yorkshire Coast 10k!

Enjoy the sea air, and coastal scenery as you run the Yorkshire Coast 10k through Scarborough to support your local hospital.

Starting and finishing at the Scarborough Spa, runners will enjoy the coastal route as they embark round South Bay, past the harbour, round the headland and into North Bay before running through the Open Air Theatre and back to the Spa.

Thanks to the support of our generous donors, mums recovering after childbirth on G2 Maternity Ward at York Hospital are now benefiting from a dedicated bladder scanner.

The scanner provides a quick, safe and non-invasive way to assess bladder function after birth, helping to improve comfort, dignity and recovery while reducing the need for more invasive procedures.

A huge thank you to Andy for raising an incredible £7,043.19 through his annual NC72 Golf Day in support of the Intensive Care Unit at York Hospital! ⛳

Taking place at Aldwark Manor, Andy has organised the NC72 Golf Day for the past six years in memory of his brother, Steve, and has now raised an amazing £22,642 in total!

A big thank you to all of Andy’s friends, sponsors and players who helped make this year's event such a success, raising more than ever before. The money raised will help make a difference for patients and their families receiving care within the Intensive Care Unit at York Hospital.

🏃‍♀️ Meet our 2027 TCS London Marathon runners!🏃‍♂️

We were delighted to receive so many fantastic applications for our charity places, making the selection process incredibly difficult. Thank you to everyone who applied.

We're excited to introduce our two runners, Izzie and John, who will be taking on this iconic challenge in support of York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity.

Izzie Midgley is running in memory of her grandma and raising funds for Ward 26 at York Hospital, in recognition of the amazing care and support her family received.

John Richardson is taking on the marathon after being diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukaemia (APML) in 2023. Having received care and treatment from teams across the Trust, he's raising money for Ward 31 at York Hospital.

We'll be sharing Izzie and John's training, fundraising and marathon journeys over the coming months, so keep an eye on our page and cheer them on every step of the way! 🎉

A big thank you to Annie, who recently held a stall at her local flower market to raise funds and awareness for the Autumn Project! 🍁

The stall was a huge success, with Annie selling many of her beautiful paintings and even receiving several commission requests.

Annie has been a passionate supporter of the Autumn Project for many years, raising funds in memory of her mum through a variety of fundraising activities. Thanks to her incredible dedication, she has now raised more than £20,000 including Gift Aid.

Annie said: "Painting is my therapy... raising money for the Autumn Project is my passion."

We are so grateful for Annie’s continued support and everything she does to help make a difference for patients and families on Palliative Care. Thank you, Annie!
