Two very good reasons to come to our Community Canteen, 4 pm on Thursdays.

Add to that: good company, friendship, and did we mention it is Free?

Some amazing funders fund the community canteen to help us tackle social isolation and promote community spirit.

For the third year running, we bring you a tale of community:

This was entirely raised by members of the public. Real people, doing the hard work. They organised it, collected it, filled cars, made 19 supermarket trips, and physically dropped Β£3,800 worth of food and essentials to us at the Community Centre.

We estimate 150+ people took part, including neighbours around Windmill Lane, local football groups such as , and fantastic support from at Clifton Moor.

An additional Β£200 was donated online to another food bank, bringing the total raised to Β£4,030.

Everything donated will be distributed through our community food sessions over December and January:

β€’ – Wednesdays from 10am
β€’ Friday Breakfast Club – Fridays from 10:30am

After this week, sessions will resume on Wednesday 7th and Friday 9th January 2026.

Hygiene products have also been passed to the , helping spread the support right across the city.

With the cost of living where it is, this level of generosity is no small thing. This wasn’t organisations or systems. It was people looking after people.

Our littlest jitsuka I on his first ever gauntlet! He asked to do it before going home and braved the unknown. He's growing! Admirable courage!

If you would like your children to develop their hidden potential, bring them here and see how far they can go.

We are here most Fridays 7:15-9pm (8:30pm for young juniors) at Tang Hall Community Centre. Join us for a FREE taster session with no obligation.
