We want to hear from you.

As conversations around a tourism levy continue, it’s essential that the voices of local communities are at the heart of how any funds are managed and distributed.

If introduced, this levy could play a meaningful role in supporting the places we live, work and visit…but only if it’s shaped by the people it’s meant to benefit.

How do you think tourism levy funds should be used?

What would make the biggest positive impact in your community?

How can we ensure transparency and fairness in how funding is allocated?

Your insights will help inform a more inclusive and effective approach, one that supports regenerative tourism while strengthening local communities.

A significant milestone last week with the launch of Community Tourism UK.

The announcement came at the close of two day conference in Glasgow, which brought together partners from across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to sign a joint Community Led Tourism declaration.

The network has been developing since conversations began at the Good Organisation (Social Ventures) CIC conference in York last summer, so it was fantastic to see it formally launched with so many collaborators and supporters.

We’re incredibly grateful to our colleagues at SCOTO Network, who not only organised the event in Glasgow, but have been central to this partnership since its inception.
