Again, sharing so anyone who isn’t aware that you can get a certificate to acknowledge your baby.

It's Baby Loss Awareness Week and we're thinking of everyone who has lost a baby 💖💙

Whenever it happened, your loss deserves to be officially acknowledged.

That's why the baby loss certificate is available.

You can request one if all the following apply:

🔹 you've lost a baby before 24 weeks of pregnancy (or 28 weeks before 1 October 1992)
🔹 you're one of the baby's parents or surrogate
🔹 you're at least 16 years old
🔹 you live in England

🩷🩵 🤍 Baby Loss Awareness Week | 9th–15th October 🩵🩷 🤍

This week, we remember all the precious little babies who left this world far too soon, and the families who carry their love and loss in their hearts every single day. 🕊️🤍

Our cemetery is a place where love never ends, memories are cherished, and little lives, no matter how brief, will never be forgotten.

Behind every name, every flower, every candle and every tiny resting place is a story of love, hopes and dreams that will forever remain in the hearts of those left behind. 💗

We remember the babies taken too soon through miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal death and infant loss. We hold in our thoughts the parents, siblings, grandparents and families who may be finding this week particularly difficult.

There is no timeline for grief, no right or wrong way to remember, and no love too small to be honoured.

🕯️ On 15th October at 7pm, we invite everyone to join us in the cemetery to take part in the Wave of Light. We will be lighting a candle in memory of all the babies gone too soon, joining families across the world in a shared moment of love and remembrance.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Never forgotten. 👼🏻🤍

💗 Baby Loss Awareness Week 2026 💗

Baby Loss Awareness Week begins this Friday and runs throughout the week, culminating in the Wave of Light at 7pm next Thursday. 🕯️

We know that for so many families, Baby Loss Awareness Week can bring a mixture of emotions. It can be a time to remember, to grieve, to honour the little lives that changed us forever, and to simply acknowledge that our babies mattered — and always will. 💗

As our volunteers are at work for the next few days, we’ve had to put our memory display together a few days earlier than planned. But perhaps that makes it even more special, because it means we can already begin creating a space where our babies can be remembered.

Our ribbons are there for anyone who would like to add their baby’s name. Pens are provided, so please take a moment to write their name and give them a place among all the precious babies being remembered. 🎀

Whether your loss was days ago, many years ago, or somewhere in between, your baby is remembered here. Your baby’s life mattered. And your love for them will always matter.

We hope this little display can offer a moment of comfort, connection and remembrance to everyone who needs it.

More information about the arrangements for our Wave of Light at 7pm next Thursday will follow shortly. 🕯️

🐝🏨 The bug hotels have had a little refurbishment! 🐞🌿

This morning, we gave our bug hotels a freshen-up with straw, sticks, and pinecones lovingly collected by our youngest volunteer during a walk with her grandparents at Thorpe Perrow Arboretum 🌲🍂

We think our tiny guests are going to be very cosy and warm in their newly refurbished rooms, and they’ve probably already packed their creepy-crawly cases and checked in for their little getaway! 🧳🐜

We’re sure they’ll be on their way for their holiday in no time — although we’re hoping they remember to leave us a postcard! 😂

A big thank you to our youngest volunteer and her grandparents for collecting such lovely natural materials for us. 💚🌼

🌿 A busy Saturday at the cemetery! 🌿

Saturday was a real hive of activity as our wonderful volunteers rolled up their sleeves and got stuck into some essential maintenance. There’s always plenty to do behind the scenes to keep the cemetery looking cared for and welcoming. ❤️

Here’s just some of what was achieved:

🌸 Collecting up the dead flowers.

✂️ Trimming part of the front roadside hedge to help improve visibility when coming out of the car park.

🌱 Spot of weeding in the rockery.

🪴 Planting some lovely donated plants from Pamela and Linda, two of our fantastic volunteers. Thank you both!

🌿 Giving the Wisteria a much-needed trim and, cleaning out the gutter whilst we were up there too! 🤭

🌾 Trimming the grass inside our Magnolia protection area.

🌼 Giving the wallflowers a tidy-up.

🐦 Filling all the wildlife bowls with fresh water.

🥜 Topping up the fat ball feeder for our feathered visitors.

🌷And, admiring the flowers (🤫 Maybe not a work task, but who can blame them. Take a look at the last picture)

It was a busy day, but as always, it’s lovely to see the difference a few willing hands can make. A huge thank you to all our volunteers for giving up their Saturday morning and helping to care for our cemetery. 💚 We couldn’t do it without you!
