It's not often you get an invitation to No. 10 Downing Street but that's exactly what happened to Dora and Graeme on a VIP visit to London! York Outer MP, Luke Charters MP arranged the trip - which included Westminster Palace (home to the Houses of Parliament) - as a thank you for hosting him on a tour of Brunswick recently. "It was a great trip and I really enjoyed it." said Graeme.

Volunteers come in all shapes and sizes at Brunswick - and everyone is deeply appreciated! Bertie had a wonderful time helping shop staff keep the polytunnels watered and didn't want to leave...

It's national Volunteer's Week and we've been celebrating in style with not one, but two parties to thank our incredible team. Workers and staff hung special messages in our Tree of Thanks and the kitchen bakers produced beautiful cakes with strawberries and cream and lashings of tea to go some way to showing just how much we appreciate our wonderful volunteers.

We're thinking ahead to summer holidays by the beach here at Brunswick - brought to life beautifully with these intricate crabs, handmade by Megan in great detail. You can scoop these up in the shop along with a host of other sea creatures made by the team.

Pop down to the Bluebird Bakery, Acomb on June 6 and stock up on bug boxes and birdhouses and all kinds of perennials! Here's Elizabeth with a small selection of what we'll have on our outdoor stall at the cafe (from 9am-3pm) on the day:

We really need your help! We need £100,000 to fix our drainage and provide warm indoor toilets for our Brunswick community, many of whom have physical and learning disabilities.

We have all the plans completed and are ready to start work but £100,000 is such a daunting bill to face as an independent charity, and will drain our funds and hit us really hard. Please give today if you can!
