Heading to university this autumn? Girlguiding is a UK-wide organisation, and you can stay involved wherever your studies take you! Volunteering as a student is a great way to make new friends, develop new skills and make a difference to girls' lives.

Join inspire (our network of volunteers aged 18-30) leads from across the UK at one of our upcoming online calls to:

Keeping GO tidy is important, it helps you manage your unit easier but also helps your county, region and Girlguiding HQ see where help is needed. The data from GO is used by Girlguiding HQ to inform the decisions they make, especially around recruitment campaigns and funding.

Keeping unit capacity tidy is one way you can help. 🧼

Log into GO, find your unit under ‘unit leader’ and check and update the unit capacity which is located under Unit details.

✨ This year marks 80 years of the Queen’s Guide Award, the highest award you can work towards in guiding.

For eight decades, Girlguiding members have been developing new skills, giving back to their communities, taking on new challenges and making memories that last a lifetime.

As we celebrate this special anniversary, we’d love to hear from you. Are you marking 80 years of the Queen’s Guide Award with a celebration, special presentation or event? This training will be a practical session tailored specifically to the attendees to support you in making the most of your unit funds. Topic covered will include:

Budgeting for your unit considering all costs.
Managing subs to meet your unit outgoings.
Using Gift Aid and finding other sources of financial support, such as grants.

Are you aged 14-25 and looking for a new challenge? Do you want to deliver fun & interactive sessions for Brownies, Guides & Rangers on issues important to them?

Join us at our next peer education residential training weekend. You’ll be trained with skills in order to facilitate sessions and to deliver the peer education topic ‘Breaking Free’. By the end of the weekend you’ll be a Peer Educator with the skills and confidence to run sessions for units in your area!
