🎂 What an amazing Summer Bake Off! 🎂

A huge thank you to every child and family who created and entered a bake, and to everyone who came along and bought a slice. Thanks to your wonderful support, the cake sale raised an incredible £171.91 for Pocklington CE Infant School!

We were so impressed by the creativity, effort and enthusiasm that went into every entry. After some very difficult judging by the teachers, our winners were:

🏆 Best Summer Showstopper: Emily — Owls
🏆 Proudly Made by Me Award: Isabella — Bumblebees
🏆 Cake with the Biggest Personality: Annabel— Hedgehogs
🏆 Best Decorated Summer Vibes Bake: Maisie — Rabbits

Congratulations to all our winners, and well done to every child who took part. All participants will receive a certificate and a small gift.

We would also like to say a special thank you to the wonderful volunteers who gave their time to help set up and sell the cakes. We could not have run the sale without you!

Anyone who has not yet collected their certificate, gift or cake container can collect them from the tombola stand at tomorrow’s Family Picnic.

Thank you again to everyone who baked, bought cakes, volunteered and helped make the event such a success! 💛🧁

A little reminder that Pocklington Festival Day is tomorrow, Wednesday 15 July! ☀️🧺

During the afternoon picnic, the Friends of Pocklington Infants will be running a tombola and ice cream sale. Cash and card will be accepted, and children whose parents or carers cannot attend can bring money into school in a named envelope.

Bake Off participants can also collect their containers and participation prizes from the tombola stand. We hope to see you there! 🎟️🍦

🍦 Ice Cream Sale Alert! 🍦
The PTA will be selling ice creams tomorrow afternoon from 3pm near the bike shed.
Every purchase helps raise funds for our school, so thank you for supporting the PTA. We hope you will come and enjoy a tasty treat! 😋🍦

Our current PTA committee will be stepping down as our children are leaving the school, and we're looking for volunteers to take on the roles of Chair, Treasurer and Secretary.
The PTA brings so much to our school community, and we'd love to see it continue. Full support and handovers will be provided, but we do need people to step into these roles to keep it going, if we do not fill them the PTA will sadly have to close down.

Pre-Loved Uniform washed and folded! Homemade cupcakes cooling down and donuts ready to be picked up .... Keeping our fingers crossed for a dry afternoon!! 🤞🏻

Come and join the Friends this Friday 13th Feb from 3pm in the Playground Shelter for our Donut & Pre-Loved Uniform Sale. We’ll have tasty donuts, allergen‑friendly options and loads of great pre‑loved uniform to browse through.

We’d love some new volunteers to join us for this event — and future ones too. Even a tiny bit of your time makes a huge difference. It’s an easy, friendly way to meet other parents, help build a stronger school community, and raise funds that go straight back into enriching our children’s education.

There are also perks. Volunteers get first pick of the best uniform bargains as a little thank‑you for helping out.
