TCV York & North Yorkshire

TCV York & North Yorkshire The Conservation Volunteers, York. A charity connecting people and green spaces. No experience is needed, just motivation and an enjoyment of being outdoors.

TCV York coordinates practical conservation volunteer activities every Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday and on the last Sunday of each month. Practical activities include a wide range of habitat management, woodland work, tree/hedge planting, wildflower meadow cutting and small scale construction such as footbridges, boardwalks and dipping platforms. Please contact the TCV York office for more details and to ask about getting involved.

Here is your task program for next week.

The practical team will be back on the tree checks, and we hope you’ll be able to join us for this important task which helps us to understand how our young trees are doing, especially throughout this hot and dry summer.

The Hull Road Park team are taking a short and well-deserved holiday as such there will be no Hull Road Park sessions next week. Rachel, Katie, and Kayley will see you all again on Thursday 20th August.

Do you have a couple of hours to spare this Sunday the 9th of August?

We have a task at Drax Golf Course with many young trees to check on and we would love your help if you can come along!

Hello all, next week is all about the trees!

Fancy getting involved? We have got plenty of tree
checks to get stuck into!

All week we will be in the Howden area, mostly at
Boothferry golf course and if we finish up at Boothferry
then we will move down the road to check on more
trees at Sycamores.

We also have an additional Friday task this week!

☘️🌿🌱Last week, even though it was hot we had a fantastic group of volunteers out helping to clear the debris and overgrowth of grass on a footpath, improving the access and safety for the village.🌱🌿☘️
