Acomb community clothes swap

06/10/2026

Anyone else coning to this fab event? Swap team will be there!

Join us for STEW - another serving 🍲

Pull up a chair and tuck into a hearty bowl of vegan stew (drink included). Then hear three local grassroots projects pitch for four minutes each, and vote on who gets the lion’s share of the funding. Good food, good company, good for York.

Wednesday 28th Oct, 6.15pm
Pay what you feel, suggested donation £8 + booking fee
Tix link in bio, must buy in advance

Another clothes swap in York next Sunday 😁

Next Sunday at the Golden Ball!

Come along to pub for a clothes swap on Sunday 11 October 12-4pm.

Bring along your unwanted clothes and come away with something new. No fees or exchange rules - a no cost community event open to all. Such a great idea

They are also taking donations for The Collective Sharehouse. See you there!

We are super pleased to be welcoming yorkneighbours to take over the cafe swap tomorrow!
A local charity who support over 65s to keep their independence, enjoy social connections, and feel part of a community.
They do this through local residents volunteering to help with one-off tasks and errands, regular check-in and chat phone calls, and social outings.
Do pop and say hi, buy a cake and find out how you could be involved with their local work.

We are looking for your help please swap people 🙏
A lovely friend of ours sends clothing to people in need and as currently collecting for people in need in the Ukraine. They are super low on men’s joggers, T-shirts and sweatshirts.
If you have an item or 2 that you could donate we will have a collection box on the check in desk on Saturday. Thanks

Blue bags!
When you check in our team will give you a pretty blue Ikea bag to stash all your “new to you” finds in!
We have a set amount of bags (60) as find this keeps the hall not overcrowded for everyone to browse the rails and having the bags stops the team having to keep checking capacity.

If everyone can ensure they check out before visiting the cafe so we can let more people in 😄 and yes you can pop back to the rails if you spot a fab item you missed first time!
