Join York Opera for a special anniversary concert celebrating six decades of grand opera, featuring music by composers including Puccini, Verdi, Mozart and Britten.

A big thank you to North Yorkshire Council for supporting Emerging Voices through the Stronger Communities Inspire Fund.

The funding enabled us to purchase a digital piano, portable busking speaker, microphone and accessories. Our new piano had its first outing at the More in Common event, where it meant the choir could perform even though the venue did not have a piano of its own.

This equipment will help us take part in more performances and community events in the future.

A huge thank you to Two Ridings Community Foundation for supporting Emerging Voices with a micro-grant.

The grant enabled us to buy our fantastic new Emerging Voices T-shirts for our choirs and groups, pictured here with members of Harrogate Wellbeing Choir at Wesley Chapel on the day they arrived.

It also funded a new digital collection device, which has already made a real difference to our fundraising at concerts, events and busking performances.

We’re very grateful for this practical support, helping us raise our profile and generate more funds for our music activities.

🎵 Harrogate Wellbeing Choir – Summer Break🎵

Our final choir session before the summer break will be on Wednesday 15th July.

We'll be back on Wednesday 2nd September, and we'd love to welcome both returning and new members. If you're an adult with lived experience of mental ill health and enjoy singing, why not come along? No previous experience is needed.

🎶 Looking for a welcoming choir this September? 🎶

Our Harrogate and Selby Wellbeing Choirs return on Wednesday 9th September, and we'd love to welcome new members.

If you're an adult with lived experience of mental ill health, our choirs offer a friendly, supportive space to enjoy singing, build confidence and connect with others. No previous singing experience is needed – all songs are taught by ear.
