What an amazing weekend at Ignite Scout Camp!

Our Scouts had a fantastic time at Ignite, making memories, learning new skills and throwing themselves into lots of different activities.

It was brilliant to see them trying new things, challenging themselves, meeting new people and enjoying everything camp had to offer. From new experiences and adventures to plenty of laughs with friends, it was certainly a weekend to remember!

A huge well done to all our Scouts for getting involved and making the most of every opportunity - and a big thank you to everyone who helped make the weekend possible.

Our first night back at Cubs after the holidays.
We got straight back into it with a tidy up of the community library.

Everyone did a fantastic job of sorting through the books and putting them into their new boxes.

Why not drop by and swap a book or two. We have left an empty box in there if anyone has books to donate too.

COME AND JOIN US!

Are you looking for something new for your child this year? Or maybe you’re an adult who would love to get involved, meet new people and make a difference?

We’re welcoming new children and young people into our groups, giving them the chance to make friends, learn new skills, build confidence and, most importantly, have loads of fun!

From camps and days out to games, challenges, badges and new experiences, there’s always something going on.

Volunteers needed!!!

You don’t need to have any previous experience, and you don’t have to be an expert in camping or the outdoors! Whether you can help regularly, lend a hand occasionally, share a particular skill, or simply want to find out more about what’s involved, we’d love to chat with you.

Volunteering is a great way to meet people, learn new skills, have some laughs and help give local children some fantastic opportunities and memories along the way.

Please share this post with friends and family too. The next young person or volunteer to join our group might be someone you know!

Each section has completed its own coat of arms, reflecting what they believe best represents our group. They’ve brought together our values, traditions, and the activities they enjoy most. We love the ideas they came up with and the creativity they showed throughout the process

Our Scouts put their engineering skills to the test tonight with a series of exciting building challenges!

Working in pairs, they designed and built the tallest towers they could, with the added challenge of surviving the dreaded shake test! Both towers stood strong.

The Scouts then took on an individual challenge, using their creativity and problem-solving skills to construct bridges capable of holding a rubber ducky without collapsing.

Throughout the evening, there was one final challenge that may have been the hardest of all… resisting the temptation to taste-test the marshmallows used in the constructions!

A fantastic evening full of teamwork, creativity, resilience, and plenty of fun. Well done, Scouts!

Our Cubs were out doing their bit for the community this week with a litter pick walk around the village.

The good news is that the streets were already looking fairly clean, so there wasn’t too much rubbish to collect! After helping keep our neighbourhood tidy, the Cubs enjoyed some well-earned fun with a game of football followed by a play on the park.

A great evening of community spirit, teamwork, and outdoor fun. Well done, Cubs!

Wow what a bank holiday weekend some of our Cubs have had at CubJam.
The good old British weather tried its best to dampen the fun on Sunday but we didn't let that stop us. All in all the sun shined and we enjoyed yourselves.Thank you North Yorkshire Scouts Event Team
