Last week, our General Manager Victoria, and Transport Administrator Chloe, attended a local Volunteer Fair as part of Volunteer Week celebrations.

It was a fantastic opportunity to network with other voluntary organisations in the area, share information about the vital services we provide, and speak with potential new volunteers interested in making a difference in their community.

As demand for our service continues to grow, we are becoming increasingly busy and are actively looking for more volunteers to join our team. Whether you can spare a few hours a week or more, your time and support could have a real impact on the people who rely on our service.

This Volunteers' Week, we'd like to say a huge thank you to all of our incredible volunteers. Your kindness, dedication, and willingness to give your time make a real difference to the people in our community every single day.

Our Community Car Scheme helps local people attend essential appointments, maintain their independence, and stay connected with their community. None of this would be possible without our fantastic volunteer drivers.

As demand for our service continues to grow, we are always looking for new volunteer drivers to join our team. Whether you can spare a few hours a week or more, your time could make a significant difference to someone's life.

So far this year, our incredible volunteer drivers have completed 855 trips—helping people get where they need to be, when they need it most. From medical appointments to health and wellbeing appointments, every journey makes a real difference in someone’s life.

But the need doesn’t stop here… we’re always looking for more volunteers to join our team! If you have some spare time, your own car and a willingness to help others, you could be the reason someone gets the support they need.

Due to an influx of requests for a female driver, we would love to expand our fleet of Community Cars drivers by welcoming more female volunteer drivers. 🚗💙

Many of our passengers feel more comfortable with a female driver, particularly for medical appointments, and your support can make a real difference in helping them travel with confidence and ease.

We are also always in need of more volunteers—both male and female—as our service continues to get busier every month.

🌷🐣 Happy Easter to all our wonderful clients across Slinky and Community Cars! 🐣🌷

We’d also like to wish all our school children a very enjoyable and well-deserved Easter break – we hope you have lots of fun and relaxation! 🌼✨

Please note, our office will be closed on Good Friday (03rd April) and Easter Monday (06th April). We will reopen and be back in the office from 9am on Tuesday 07th April.
