🌟 A very special milestone! 🌟

A huge congratulations to Harper, who earned their 100 junior parkrun milestone wristband this morning! 💜👟🎉

If you've been to QEII Playing Fields junior parkrun, there's a good chance you've seen Harper's smiley face 😊 As well as completing her parkruns, she's also volunteered with course set-up, tail walking and leading the warm-up, showing exactly what the junior parkrun spirit is all about 🧡🦺

To make the day even sweeter, Harper very kindly brought along some treats for everyone to enjoy as part of the celebrations 🍬✨

Thank you Harper we can't wait to celebrate your next milestone 👏🧡

🎉 QEII Playing Fields junior parkrun Event #25 ✔️🎉

Another brilliant Sunday morning, another fantastic event and another reminder of what an amazing community we've built together 👟✨

A huge well done to all of our brilliant juniors for another morning full of smiles, determination and fun

As we celebrate Volunteer Week, we'd also like to say the biggest thank you to our incredible team of hi-vis heroes. From our core team, to those who regularly help, to those who have volunteered just once, and everything in-between - every marshal, barcode scanner, warm-up leader and tail walker helps make junior parkrun possible

Twenty-five events ago this was just an idea. Today it's a thriving community, and that's all thanks to you 🧡🦺

We had a fantastic morning of achievements today - special shout-out to Emilie and Arthur for earning their half marathon (11) milestone wristband, Carys, Alexander and Penny for earning their marathon (21) milestone wristband and to Harper for earning their 100 milestone wristband this morning - congratulations on a fantastic achievement fuelled by cheers, high fives and big smiles, you should all be very proud! 🥰

🧡🦺 Thanks a million? We think our volunteers deserve even more than that! 🦺🧡

As parkrun celebrates an incredible 1 millionth event, it simply wouldn't happen without the volunteers 🦺 over 1 million people volunteering more than 16 million times, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate our own amazing QEII Playing Fields junior parkrun community

In just 24 events, we've been supported by an incredible 140 different volunteers, who have filled a remarkable 581 volunteer roles 👏✨

From marshals and barcode scanners to warm-up leaders, tail walkers and token sorters, every single role helps create the magic that our juniors and families enjoy each Sunday morning.

Whether you've volunteered once or fifty times, thank you for being part of our journey. QEII Playing Fields junior parkrun simply wouldn't happen without you 🧡👟

Here's to many more Sunday mornings, smiling faces and hi-vis heroes! 🦺✨

🎉 WRISTBAND WEDNESDAY 🎉

A huge well done to all our amazing juniors who earned their milestone wristbands this month at QEII Playing Fields junior parkrun 👟🧡

From half marathon (11 runs), to marathon (21), ultra marathon (50) 100 and 250 - every wristband is a fantastic achievement and something to be really proud of 🙌

🧡 Happy National Volunteer Week to all our incredible volunteers 🧡

QEII Playing Fields junior parkrun simply wouldn’t happen without our amazing volunteers who give up their time, energy and Sunday mornings to help create something so special for our community 👟✨

A particularly huge thank you goes to everyone who stepped up during May to help fill our rosters while much of the core team were off enjoying holidays and adventures afar 🌍✈️

And a very special shout-out to Tracey & Em, who helmed the ship and of course absolutely smashed it 👏🦺🧡

From marshalling and barcode scanning to warm-ups, token sorting and cheering every junior across the finish line - every single volunteer makes a difference and we are so grateful for each and every one of you 🧡

QEII Playing Fields junior parkrun Event #23 ✔️☀️👟

A fantastic 47 finishers joined us this morning to enjoy some sunny Bank Holiday junior parkrun fun 🧡🌳

Huge well done to all our amazing juniors and a massive thank you to our wonderful volunteers for making another brilliant event happen 🦺👏

And even with a few members of the core team meddling from a different country 🌍✈️, the team back home absolutely smashed it and delivered another successful Sunday morning at QEII 🧡✨

Special mention to Felicity, Ethan and Bobby who earned their half marathon milestone wristband this morning and to Benji who earned their marathon milestone wristband - fuelled by smiles and high fives you should all be proud of your amazing achievements 👏🏼
