QEII Playing Fields junior parkrun

QEII Playing Fields junior parkrun Free, weekly, timed 2k parkrun for 4 to 14 year olds. Every Sunday at 9am. Please register for free before your first visit!

junior parkrun is a collection of 2k walk/jog/runs for children aged between 4 and 14. They are held in
areas of open space around the country. They are open to all, free, and are safe and easy to take part
in. If you are not a junior please come along to one of our weekly Saturday 5k parkrun events instead.

What a fantastic Sunday morning at QEII! 🌳☀️

It was amazing to see so many of our brilliant juniors, friends and families enjoying their Sunday morning together. Not forgetting our amazing volunteers, including some of our fantastic junior volunteers who were helping out alongside the team! 🤩🦺

There were smiles, cheers, high-fives and plenty of junior parkrun fun all around the park! 🥰🙌

A huge well done to every junior who ran, jogged or walked their way around the 2k today. Whether it was your first visit, your latest milestone or simply your weekly dose of junior parkrun, we hope you had a fantastic time! 👏👟

And, as always, a massive thank you to our wonderful volunteers who helped make another successful event possible. We couldn't run each week without you. We really appreciate everyone who gives up a small part of their Sunday to help, and a huge thank you to all those who have answered our volunteer appeals and offered to help when we've needed you 🦺🧡

QEII really is a special place on a Sunday morning, and we love seeing our community growing week after week.

Congratulations to Iris, who earned their 10th junior parkrun milestone wristband this morning! 👏🏼 You should be extremely proud of the determination and effort you've shown to reach this milestone. 🧡👟

We're looking at the roster for this Sunday and we're just 2 marshals short of having everything covered 🦺👀

We know weekends are busy, but if you're looking for your junior parkrun fix, could you spare an hour to help us out?

Marshalling is really simple - a hi-vis, a big smile and lots of encouragement for our brilliant juniors is all you need! 📣👟

What a fantastic morning we've had at QEII Playing Fields for Event #37! 👟🌳

A big well done to all our juniors who joined us - you were absolute superstars! ⭐👏

And a massive thank you to our brilliant volunteers who chose to spend part of their bank holiday weekend with us. 🦺🧡 We really couldn't do it without you!

There was lots to celebrate at QEII this morning with milestones galore! Huge congratulations to all of our milestone wristband achievers this morning, Evan, Bobby and Lois earned their 25 milestone wristband and Ellie earning their 50 milestone wristband! Well done you should be extremely proud of all of your determination 🎉

Special mention to our volunteer milestone achievers this morning too! Noah earned their 25 volunteer milestone wristband this morning and RD Tracey was celebrating her 50th volunteer credit! Congratulations both and thank you for being a big part of our QEII family 🤩

We hope you've all gone home with big smiles and that lovely post-parkrun feeling 😊

It's a bank holiday weekend, so we know lots of you may have plans, trips away or family time planned - but if you're staying local, we'd love to see you in the QEII hi-vis crew! 👋

Event #36 is in the books! 👟🎉

A huge congratulations to every junior who joined us this morning. Whether you were chasing a PB, working towards a milestone or simply enjoying a Sunday morning with friends and family, we hope you had as much fun as we did! 🙌

Huge thanks to our amazing volunteers 🦺 who gave up their Sunday morning to make the event happen. Your encouragement and support are a huge part of what makes QEII so special! 🧡

And thank you to all our supporters cheering from the sidelines - those smiles and cheers really do make a difference! 🥰

We're looking ahead to Sunday at QEII Playing Fields junior parkrun, but our volunteer roster is looking a little light and we could do with a few extra helpers! 🦺

We're currently looking for:

🦺 2 x Marshals
⏱️ 1 x Timekeeper

If you've been thinking about volunteering, why not give it a go this Sunday? It's a brilliant way to start the day, cheer on our amazing juniors and be part of the QEII family 🧡
