We are recruiting for cleaners across some of our venues within Yate. Our venues have a number of uses and are available to hire for community groups, youth groups, training courses, meetings and social events, for example.

There are currently 4 roles available, with the possibility of some flexibility in the hours.

Calling all budding young artists! The weather may look miserable for half term but we've got plenty to keep you busy. 🎨🖌

Come along and look at our current exhibition of beautiful artwork by the u3a, then have a go at creating your own piece to display in the gallery.

Our next exhibition, made by members of the University of the Third Age (U3A), celebrates the creativity and talent of local artists 🖌🎨

The exhibition features a wide range of artwork produced by members of the local U3A art group. The works reflect a variety of styles, techniques and inspirations, offering visitors an engaging and colourful insight into the artistic achievements of local people.

The exhibition will run from Tuesday 3rd February 2026 to Wednesday 25th February 2026, during Yate Heritage Centre opening hours. Admission is free, and open to all!

This Half Term, Halloween Fun Day Returns to Armadillo in Yate!

The spooky season is upon us with the return of Armadillos’ Halloween Fun Day! After the hordes of horrors that visited last year’s event, we’re thrilled to bring back this free family day filled with fun and creativity, in the October half term school holidays.

Families and young people of all ages are invited to join us for a day of crafts, cinema, and café - with spooky sweet treats, autumn crafts, and favourite family-friendly Halloween films showing throughout the day.

No booking is required, just drop in on Saturday 1 November 2025, between 10:30am and 3:00pm, for a FREE day of fun for the whole family.
