Originally known as the "Weald Playgroup" the organisation is a registered charity and overseen by a committee of elected parents and volunteers. Above all we are a community, the 'setting' is friendly and welcoming and is run by enthusiastic fun staff who are dedicated to the care and education of the children. We encourage parents and careers to take an active part in the activities and have an active social and fund raising team.

Our Story

Yaldng (Twyford) Pre-school is based in the rural village of Yalding and was established in 1966. Originally known as the "Weald Playgroup" the organisation is a registered charity and overseen by a committee of elected parents and volunteers. The day to day running is carried out by our excellent members of staff which includes our manager Louise Dean We cater for children from the age of two until they leave to start primary school. Our fees are £4.75 per hour for children from the age of two, visit the Childcare Choices website to find out what support can be offered with your child’s Pre-School fees. Children attend sessions any day of the week. Sessions are held in the spacious Village Hall in Lyngs Close, apart from our Advanced Pre-school, for Children due to start Primary school the following year, which is held at Yalding Baptist Church, every Wednesday. Our aim is to provide every child with a positive and happy start to their education.
