This weekend we very much enjoyed our annual charter dinner socialising with Lions from other clubs and former Wymondham Lions. 😊

We were joined by special guests Mick Money and his wife Karen. Moneyproperties hosts our Christmas Santa grotto each year which we are very grateful for and their dedication to the community reflects the Lion spirit 🦁

Master of Ceremonies was John Wilde and former Wymondham Lion Daniel Cox and wife Katie were also among the invited guests.

We were also delighted to see our chair Kieran O'Herlihy presented with the Melvin Jones Fellow award from Lions Clubs International for his dedication to humanitarian services. Congratulations Kieran, you do us all proud 👏🏼

We are thrilled to be able to announce that as well as the money we raised at Santa’s grotto during the light switch on, we were donated on top a total of £2700 from all the stall holders and fair 😍🙏🏼

We are so grateful to Nicky at A Very Wymondham Christmas, Moneyproperties, Wymondham Town Council, all the volunteers on the day - from our Lions to the town councillors, to the cadets, to the members of the community who wanted to help. From the businesses to the stall holders and every single person who got involved, thank you ☺️

Lastly but not least to our dear friend Kevin Hurn who is sorely missed. This money raised was his last gift to us, one final act of kindness to help the community. And he would be heartened to know the Lions have already identified some very worthy recipients who need our help this winter. His Lion spirit will live on 🦁

Thank you to Moneyproperties for hosting Santa and his elves this year for A Very Wymondham Christmas. Over 120 children came to visit and raised £732 for local good causes. 🎅🏻🧝🎁
