Fireworks can be an exciting part of celebrations, but for many pets, the sudden bangs, flashes and vibrations can be frightening and stressful.

Dogs and cats have much more sensitive hearing than we do, and they have no way of understanding why these unexpected noises are happening. Some pets may simply become a little unsettled, while others can experience significant fear, attempting to hide, escape or seek constant reassurance.

The good news is that there are plenty of things you can do to help. Preparing in advance can make fireworks season much easier for both you and your pet.
