It's not all about the kids!

As volunteers, our leadership team take part in lots of other scouting activities in the background too. From first aid courses, skills development and training, building and equipment maintenance, to meeting and event planning for our own young people and those in our area.

This weekend, Ross and Jamie were in Wales with 10 other leaders from the district developing their skills for leading hill walking in more adventurous terrain. It was a glorious Sunday up in the Beacons. Both learned so much from Rob and Andy (Andy - is our local Explorer Unit leader) and will be taking this further to gain their hill walking permits in the future.

Today, as a worldwide family of , we are devastated, and we are united in sorrow for the loss of our Patron, HM The Queen. Forever, we will remember her kindness, her service, and the unwavering support she showed our global movement over many decades. She was truly a friend to Scouts everywhere. As our Patron, the Queen leaves the brightest of legacies - one of hope and promise for future generations. Thank you to the 1st Wroughton cubs for doing a great job with litter picking around the village yesterday evening as part of their environmental badge 1st Wroughton Cubs (Parents Group) 😊👏

WPC would also like to thank all the other residents who play their part keeping the village clean and tidy in recognition of volunteers week which ran from the 1 - 7 June 😊👏
