Prospect Hospice provides end-of-life care to people 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and has been rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission. Care and support is tailored to the needs of the individual. Our specialist teams of nurses, doctors, therapists and family support staff provide clinical, emotional and practical support to patients and their loved ones at the hospice in Wroughto
n, Swindon, in people’s homes and in the community. We work in close partnership with other care-focused organisations and local health and social care professionals, with the shared aim of bringing the best possible care to people in their final months, weeks and years. Prospect Hospice is a charity and provides all its services free of charge to patients. It costs £7.5 million a year to run our services. We receive just 25% of our income from statutory organisations such as the NHS, with the rest coming from generous donations from the community. Prospect Hospice was founded in 1980 and serves a community of more than 300,000 people in Swindon and north east Wiltshire, including Royal Wootton Bassett, Marlborough and Pewsey, plus Lechlade and Fairford in Gloucestershire.
