🌱 Healthy & Sustainable Preschool Scheme 🌱
We are delighted to share that Hanmer Playgroup is taking part in the Healthy and Sustainable Preschool Scheme! 💚
This scheme supports us in helping our children learn about healthy lifestyles, wellbeing, caring for the environment, and making positive choices every day.
The accreditation will take several years to complete so it will be an ongoing project for Hanmer Playgroup concentrating on these main areas.
⭐ Nutrition and Oral Health
⭐ Physical activity/Active play
⭐ Mental and Emotional health
⭐ Environment
⭐ Safety and Hygiene
⭐ Workplace Health
Hanmer Playgroup staff will be working extremely closely with Louise Roberts, coordinator from the scheme and she's already visited twice and looking forward to a third visit on Thursday 25th June.
Louise has shared some wonderful activities the children can take part in and equipment we are able to utilize. First on the list... Balance bikes and helmets (after staff have completed training).
Louise has also gifted Hanmer Playgroup a lovely goodie bag full of books, magnifying glasses, gardening equipment etc. Which the children have already started using 😁
By taking part, we hope to inspire our little learners to develop healthy habits and a love for the world around them from an early age.
