Always fancied trying our Art Group but haven't made it there yet? Well, now is the time to do it. As part of our Ageing Without Limits celebrations, we are offering the first class for FREE to encourage people to come along and try something new.

Join us tomorrow - Tuesday 9th June - at 2:30pm for a creative afternoon. The group will be working on 'still life with a twist' so bring along any drawing materials you have at home such as pencils, colouring pencils, pens and paper and come and join in.

🎨 Thinking about trying something new? Now’s your moment.
As part of Ageing Without Limits, we’re opening our Art Group to new members and it’s the perfect chance to come along and give it a go.

If you’ve ever thought about joining but weren’t quite sure, this is a relaxed, friendly way to see what it’s all about. No experience needed – just a willingness to have a go and enjoy yourself.

Our Penley Art Group enjoyed a great session this morning, getting creative with some beautiful floral painting including some timed challenges set by teacher Rachel. It was wonderful to see everyone absorbed in colour, creativity and good conversation.

We had a lovely turnout for our Marchwiel Lunch Club today! Everyone enjoyed a hearty chicken, ham and leek pie with potatoes and vegetables, followed by crumble and custard — all shared in great company.

If you’d like to join us next time, our Penley Lunch Club meets on the first Thursday of the month, and our Marchwiel Lunch Club meets on the third Thursday. It’s just £10 for a delicious two‑course meal.

🎨 Marchwiel Art Group – Join Us on Tuesdays! 🎨

Our Marchwiel Art Group is in full creative swing, and this month the group are getting stuck into colour pencil animals before moving on to mixed‑media animal pieces. It’s a lovely way to explore different styles and techniques while building your confidence with new materials.

The group meets every Tuesday at Piercy Hall, Marchwiel, from 2:30pm – 4:30pm, and each week we explore a variety of themes, artists and creative approaches across a mix of mediums. Whether you’re brand new to art or looking to pick up where you left off, you’ll find a warm, welcoming space to get creative at your own pace.

Sessions are £7.50, which includes a friendly cuppa on arrival. Spaces are limited, so get in touch on 01948 830730 to reserve your place or email us at [email protected].
