Thank you so much to all of our fantastic volunteers, like Catherine from St Mary's in Holyhead, who kindly spoke at Mass last week for the Harvest Family Fast Day yesterday. 🤩

We will have more volunteers speaking at Mass this weekend too, so best of luck to them! We are telling the story of Tayla in Zimbabwe. Tayla struggled to concentrate in school due a lack of water. But now that her school has safe water for drinking and hand washing, Tayla can concentrate on her studies and focus on her dream of becoming a doctor. The school also grow nutritious food to eat too! 🥕🍆🌽🍅🍊🥑

There is plenty of time to make your donation to this year's appeal. Please visit our website below to contribute! 🙏

Today is where people will pray, fast and give to support people around the world who are living in poverty. It's a special time as people put faith into action and show that we are one global family. 🌍 💚

This Harvest, we have been sharing the story of Tayla and her school community in Zimbabwe where we worked with local partners to build a safe and reliable water source.

It was such a pleasure to visit Our Lady of the Assumption in Rhyl over the weekend to speak at Mass for the CAFOD Harvest Family Fast Day.

I was able to share the story of 12 year old Tayla in Zimbabwe. With CAFOD support, her school now has access to clean water so she can drink safe water, wash her hands and water crops to grow nutritious food all year round! This is long term life changing work funded by our annual Fast Days. 💚

Thank you so much to everyone for making me so welcome and for your kind support!🙏💚

I was also delighted to be gifted home grown tomatoes from the parish garden! How wonderful, I can't wait to try them! 🍅 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 😍
