Well friends as i write this I'm flat on my back in Penley Hospital. ATM I still cant stand or walk and don't know if i ever will again. This started 2 years ago when we had been to Blackpool in the May and when i came home started to have trouble with my left leg. It turned out to be gangrene it never healed properly after the operation to cut it out so here i am in limbo. I have been told i cant go back to my flat in Chapel Street as occupational health from the Maelor have deemed it unsafe for me because if i fall down it takes the fire brigade to get me out which i didn't used to mind as some of them were hunky. Ha ha

It looks as if i wont be doing any more trips and i will close this page down unless someone wants to take it over.

Good bye my friends stay safe and be happy, do today what needs to be done don't ever put things off as tomorrow might be too late. Much love

Hi all you lovely people going to Blackpool 8th to 13th October. I think you will see a difference from when we were last there, firstly Bonney Street market has closed the land being needed for the new Blackpool Central Entertainment zone but the good news Abbingdon Street market is due to open the end of this month after being refurbished, On the sea front St. Chads hotel is being demolished to make way for a brand spanking new hotel but unfortunately the New Hacketts Hotel burned down, it had been closed for a few years and vagrants had got in they must of lit a fire and it got out of hand and the whole place went up in flames and because it was deemed to be unsafe they have knocked it down For all of you that know the Craig Y Don Hotel they have bought the hotel next door and are knocking them into one.
Just a reminder I will be collecting the balance due in early August, and can confirm we will be leaving Llys Y Graig a little later this year at 12.00 midday and we should be in Blackpool by 2.30. The time will soon pass, fingers crossed the weather will be kind to us

Hi everyone, just a reminder that if you are coming to Blackpool 8th to 13th October the deposit of £60.00 pp is now due, with the balance to be paid by end of August. The rooms are booked as is the coach. Fingers crossed the weather is fine while we are there, I've looked at the Blackpool webcams (link below) and the weather today is glorious and Blackpool is open for business after its short break since the illuminations were switched off early January,

Hi all. Well I'm still out of action and my leg is still bad with the district nurse having to come out twice a week to dress my wound. I apologise there's been no trips but hey ho that's how it goes. Remember when we came back from Blackpool in May? Tiffanys have offered us the dates 8th - 13th October 2023 at a cost of £227.00 B/B and evening meal. If any of you are interested please get in touch with me by direct message. So sorry to hear of the passing of Eileen Powell, she was a lovely person and enjoyed our weeks away in Blackpool. R.I.P.

You may be wondering why I have not advertised any trips since Blackpool, the week after we came home I was taken into hospital and they operated on my leg which they found to be gangrenous, after a fortnight of 8 intravenous drips a day I was allowed to come home and the district nurse comes three times a week to do my dressings. I apologise for not doing any trips but as you can imagine I'm limited to what I can do at the moment, however I notice that LLandudno has a Christmas Extravaganza on end of November so if anyone wants me to organise a trip there please let me know.

Hi all, I have to apologise to you all because I have had to postpone our day trips. I have had an issue with my leg (again!) and my Dr. sent me to A&E at the Maelor they did tests and admitted me in the middle of the night. From the tests they discovered I had gangrene in my left leg, they pumped me full of antibiotics and had am intravenous drip running 8 times a day, they operated and fingers crossed they got all the badness out. The trip to Bakewell is now a no no but if I'm able i will try to arrange a trip to Llandudno via Betws y Coad, LLanberis Pass then on to Llandudno, all this is up in the air as at the moment i have to sit with my leg up. Hope you all understand my predicament. One piece of good news our Blackpool holiday is booked for next year 8th to 13th October again at Tiffanys. Best wishes to all. Dave xx

Hi folks, just to let everyone know that until further notice I'm not able to do any day trips. The reason being I'm in hospital flat on my back with a nasty infection In my leg which they are trying to clear with intravenous antibiotics. Watch this space!

A sincere thank you to all that came on the above trip, I think everyone enjoyed it. I have put a provisional booking for next year 8th to 13th October at £227 per head BB and evening meal plus bus what ever that works out at. Once again a big thank you and i will keep you updated on any day trips

Only 2 weeks to go until Blackpool, lets hope the weather is kind to us. Just a reminder we shall depart Llys y Graig car park at 12.00 with a comfort stop on the M6 and should be in Blackpool by 2.30. For future trips out (depending on coach cost) I'm looking at Bakewell where there is a big outdoor market held every Monday. How about a trip stopping in Betws y Coad for a comfort break, then onwards through the Llanberis pass then head for Llandudno. I though in Autumn go to Rhayadr in mid Wales and take in all the scenery and the trees changing colour. These trips depend on the cost of the coach fingers crossed they will go ahead 🚌⛽️🚌
