Something exciting is happening at 1st Moss!

We’re thrilled to announce the re-launch of our Beaver Colony!

Our first session was full of smiles, giggles and new friendships. To break the ice, we played Froggy Feet! There was lots of hopping, laughing and silliness, and it was a brilliant way for everyone to get to know each other and feel at home. Our new Beavers jumped straight in, and we couldn’t be prouder of how they got on.

A huge thank you to our leaders and volunteers for all their hard work getting the colony up and running. This is just the beginning, and we can’t wait for all the adventures, games, badges and memories ahead.

Is your child is 6-8 years old and wants to join in the fun, why not get in touch and find out how they can join the fun!

World Mental Health Day – 10 October

Mental health affects us all, and nobody should feel they have to face things alone.

Did you know?

- Adults: Around 1 in 4 adults experience a mental health problem each year.
- Children and young people: Around 1 in 5 children and young people aged 8–25 in England have a probable mental health problem. [Sources: NHS England and Mind]

At Wrexham District Scouts, we support this year's message:

“Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change.”

One small thing we can all do: Take time to listen to someone without judging or rushing to offer solutions. Sometimes, simply feeling heard can make a real difference.

Let's help create a world where every voice matters and everyone feels supported.

Two weeks ago our Squirrels and Beavers visited the HACK Sanctuary in Bradley.

Jane was an amazing guide and we had the opportunity to not only meet some of the rescued animals, but to feed them too! We even had a running race against the ponies.

The Young People had a great day and we thank Jane and all the team for such a fantastic time.

HACK relies on donations and volunteers and we were so grateful to be able to help them in our small way.

Happy Birthday!

Cubs (and Scouts) enjoyed celebrating the special milestones in Scouting on their last session before the summer.

This year marks the 110th Anniversary of Cubs.

As we look to a summer of fun, can we take this opportunity to thank all the volunteers who give up so much of their time to create opportunities for the young people of Wrexham. We are already looking forward to the next 12 months!

Happy Birthday Squirrels and Beavers ("Squeavers") from us all at 41st Wrexham.
