Groundwork North Wales Groundwork North Wales working together to improve well-being Groundwork was established in North Wales in 1991, as part of the pan-UK Groundwork Federation.

Groundwork is a green social enterprise which enables disadvantaged individuals and communities to change their own lives for the better, by engaging them in physical and environmental “green” activities. The Trust works in partnership with local public and private organisations, to build socially, economically and environmentally sustainable communities across the 6 counties of North Wales. The o

bjectives of Groundwork are:

•To promote the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment.

•To provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for those living in or working in North Wales.

•To advance public education in environmental matters and other ways of better conserving, protecting and improving the environment.

Seeking applicants around Ruthin and Welshpool!

Deadline: Friday 12th June

Tesco Fruit & Veg Grants programme has now officially launched! This funding aims to make a positive difference to children and improve their access to free fruit and veg to support a healthy, nutritious diet.

Eligible project ideas include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Organisations that provide a healthy meal/snack as part of the project
• Addressing holiday hunger amongst children outside of school time
• Foodbanks who provide food support to families
• Growing produce in allotments/planters
• Healthy eating projects that support families

Here's to the wonderful people who make what we do possible 💚

On Friday, we welcomed our volunteers from across the Groundwork North Wales group (Wild Ground, Pedal Power Wrexham, Refurbs Flint, Refurbs Buckley, Groundwork Training, Caffi Cyfle) for a special Volunteer Celebration as part of Volunteers' Week.

We were delighted to be joined by Vivienne Blondeck, Deputy Mayor of Buckley, who kindly presented our volunteers with certificates in recognition of the incredible contributions they make to our communities every day.

A huge thank you to every one of our volunteers. Your time, dedication and enthusiasm help make a real difference, and we're so grateful for everything you do 💚
