Delamere Forest Ultra Loop Marathon - Complete ✅

9 loops, 54 kilometres, and over 1km of ascent in total (which was absolutely brutal!) completed with 13 minutes to go.

A HUGE congratulations and an even bigger THANK YOU to the amazing Tom, who was joined by his brother Phil for the challenge - we think they've definitely earned their Sunday Roast today!

Tom has smashed his fundraising total thanks to the generosity of friends, family and the amazing supporters of our branch.

There's still time to support Tom!

On Sunday, Tom will be heading to Delamere Forest to complete the Ultra Loop Marathon, a mixed-terrain course with elevation gain of up to 383 feet, to be completed over an 8-hour period - and all in aid of Wrexham Branch NAS.

This week, Tom is doing something amazing for Wrexham Branch NAS.

He'll be tackling the gruelling Delamere Forest Ultra Loop Marathon. It's a mixed-terrain course with elevation gain of up to 383 feet, to be completed over an 8-hour period!

Living in Wrexham and seeing first-hand the impact organisations like ours have on families - including his own - Tom has chosen to dedicate his fundraising for this incredible event to our branch!

Wrexham AFC Ability Dragons is back!

Ability Dragons sessions will take place every Tuesday, at Ysgol St Christophers in Wrexham.

Three sessions available for different age groups:
4:00pm – 4:45pm – Primary School Participants (Age 6-11)
5:00pm – 6:00pm – High School Participants (Age 11-16)
6:00pm – 7:00pm – Adult Participants (Age 16+)

Ability Dragons provides young people with disabilities and additional needs with the opportunity to enjoy fun, inclusive and engaging football activities in a safe and supportive environment.

Sessions are designed to help participants develop their football skills, build confidence, improve social skills and make new friends, while enjoying the opportunity to be part of Wrexham AFC.

Disability Skating Session - Tomorrow Sunday 4th October.

On the first Sunday of every, Deeside Ice Skating Club hold a disability skate session catering to individuals of all disabilities, designed for the entire family to enjoy skating together.

Next Disability skate is
Sunday 4th October
12:30 - 1:15pm

The Family Fund Wales grant programme will open to applications from 12pm on Monday 5th October 2026, through to closure at 5pm on Monday 2 November.

This programme supports families raising disabled and seriously ill children who live in Wales.
