Calum is taking on his first Ultra MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) fight to raise money for Pwrpas and support men’s mental health.
That means weeks of training, pushing through doubt, and doing something that most people would shy away from… all for a cause that really matters.

We see every day how important it is that men know where to turn when things feel tough. Support like this helps us keep showing up and making a difference.
If you can, please get behind him and show your support

Last week, Pwrpas went on the road.

We visited two construction sites with G H James Cyf in Pwllheli and Bangor to deliver toolbox talks and spend time with the workforce.

We talked about something that doesn’t always come up on site… how you’re really feeling.

Construction can be tough. Physically demanding. High pressure. Long days. And sometimes the expectation is to get on with it.

We spoke about the importance of being open and honest about how you’re feeling, the impact mental health can have on construction workers, and why early conversations matter. After the toolbox talks, there was space for further discussion.

A big thank you to G H James for being so supportive and for recognising that looking after your team goes beyond hard hats and high vis.

If you’d like Pwrpas to visit your workplace, get in touch.

On Monday, I delivered training with The Uncommon Practice, and it was a really good day.

There was space for open conversation, reflection, and practical discussion about how we show up in our work and support others in ways that feel real and grounded. I always value sessions where people are willing to engage honestly and take time to think, rather than rush to solutions.

Grateful for the energy in the room and the conversations that stayed with me afterwards.

If you’d like to explore training for your team or organisation, feel free to get in touch: [email protected] or 07395452440

World Mental Health Day – 10 October 2025

This year the focus is on mental health in catastrophes and emergencies.

In difficult times, it is easy to feel that mental health is less urgent than physical needs. But the truth is, stress, fear and trauma can be just as damaging. And when services are stretched, many people go without the support they need.

At Pwrpas, we believe no one should face those struggles alone. That is why we take mental health support directly into communities, from local groups to outreach sessions across North Wales.

World Mental Health Day is not just about raising awareness. It is about making change happen. Together, we can build spaces where talking about mental health feels safe, and where support is always within reach.

Yesterday Pwrpas visited Bryn-y-Neuadd Hospital in Llanfairfechan, pictured here, to meet with the Chronic Pain Team and talk about how we can support their patients.

We’re proud to have been invited to the Annual Pain Society Scientific Conference in November with a trade stand – a great chance to share what we do and connect with others.

If you’d like Pwrpas to come along to your group or organisation, we’d love to hear from you.

Today is World Su***de Prevention Day.

This short film reminds us that suicidal thoughts can be interrupted. Sometimes, just knowing someone is there can make all the difference.

At Pwrpas we believe conversation saves lives. Asking “How are you, really?” and listening with patience can open the door to hope.

This year’s theme, Changing the Narrative on Su***de, is about making it safe to talk about mental health in everyday life. No judgement. No stigma. Just human connection.

If you are struggling, or know someone who is, please reach out. And if you want to learn more about the work we are doing across Wales, visit www.pwrpas.org.uk
You are not alone.
