K2 on Monday 📡🔐

This week was all about communication! The Explorers took on challenges using different communication methods to crack puzzles and codes, including Braille and Morse code 👀

To finish, they created their own coded messages for the other Explorers to decipher! 🕵️‍♀️🔎

K2 on Monday! 🥾🌲

This week our xplorers took on the challenge of completing a night hike from Erdigg to Marchwiel 🗺️
However, in the usual K2 fashion, it wasnt just a straight path… So with an ever so slight detour we got back on route and made it to the finish line at exactly 9:30.
So a huge congrats to everyone for completing the tough challenge💪
We apologise for the soreness of legs and the nettle stings 😅😂

K2 Tonight!

Tonight 4 explorers volunteered to run for the units Chair and Vice-Chair. Each explorer was given a group to help strengthen their campaigns. Each gave thorough speeches and eye-catching posters. Ultimately Vez was successful and voted our Chair by 50% of the votes with will following as Vice-Chair 🏆🏆.
Their first task as Chair and Vice-Chair was to create a 10 point code of conduct for our unit which they handled really effectively!! 📋
We look forward to seeing what they’ll come up with.

Congratulations to both Will and Maddie for achieving their silver D of E awards tonight as well!! 🪙🪙

So today is our 20th Birthday, 🥳 we would like to say thank you to all past and present members and adult volunteers for making K2 what it has been over the last 20 Years. Here is to the next 20🎉

K2 Last Monday! 🍖🥳
Last Monday we put aside all our scouting knowledge and just chilled out with our celebratory 20 YEARS OF K2ESU BBQ!!🎉
A chilled out night with some parent/explorer bridge building and a lovely bbq to celebrate everyone’s hard work over the years! 💪
Safe to say that everyone had a lovely time and we hope to see you all next term! ✨

K2 on Monday night!
This week we headed over to Gresford Bowling green to try our luck in hitting a Jack, safe to say many of us didn’t get a good enough bowl to become professional. Eventually some people got to 11 (in the real deal it’s to 21) 😂
We had a lovely time meeting all the volunteers from Gresfords very own Bowls team, everyone was lovely, welcoming and very educational! A big thank you to them all!

K2 on Monday!🏅

This week we decided to have abit of fun and do a ‘Silly Sports Day’! We obviously had to make sure our explorers are still in scouting shape 💪🏃
Everyone took part and had a blast, some people have perfected their sporting techniques… others not so much 😅
On the whole a great night, lots of fun and laughter aswell as keeping us all fit! Everyone deserved a medal, especially in the heat🥇🎖️

Last 2 K2 sessions!

Week 1 was 6 Months Till Christmas Night 🎄 We cooked Christmas dinner on camp stoves, and everyone smashed it (nearly!) 🔥🍽️

Week 2 was Cox Wood 🌲 We tested our aim with some target shooting, some great shots, some funny misses! 🎯😂
