Worthing Mental Health

Worthing Mental Health Worthing Mental Health Awareness Expo Tuesday 10th & Wednesday 11th October at the Guildbourne The speakers are giving their time and knowledge freely.

Launched in 2013 -in a non-clinical setting to learn about local mental health support groups both professional and voluntary; to listen to speakers on a range of mental wellness topics, and to participate in workshops

One of the most amazing things about Worthing Mental Health Awareness Week is that is it is at a minimal cost. It is a week of events running entirely on a very short shoestring an

d goodwill. The workshops are free. The exhibition is free, charities and support groups are providing free literature

This is for everyone: for patients / service-users, for professionals, for those in the voluntary sectors, for carers, for the public … for you. Everyone is welcome to come to as many events as they wish.

Fantastic day yesterday at the Breakeven Gambling and Mental Health Event. It was a privilege to be among so many inspiring people – including the High Sheriff of Worthing, local councillors, MPs, charity leaders, and speakers with lived experience such as George Paris (former West Ham footballer) and former Mayor Henna Choudhary.

The statistics around gambling are frightening, and hearing first-hand stories really shows how easy it is to slip into difficulty. If anyone needs support, there’s a drop-in centre every Saturday at ROOMS. - contact [email protected]

A big thank you to ROOMS for being such a brilliant venue, to Kendricks Coffee for keeping everyone refreshed, and to Feast in Worthing for the fantastic lunch.
