Worthing Mencap & Buddys Information Centre Buddys is open to the general public and is a friendly, welcoming space to meet family and friends and/or make new friends.

Worthing Mencap - Worthing Community Awards CHARITY OF THE YEAR 2025

Buddys is a community cafe and drop-in information hub in the Broadwater area of Worthing, opening it's doors in 2007. There is information available on activities, events and services for people with learning disabilities and/or autism, their families and carers. The cafe staff are supported by volunteer mentors and training s

tudents who have a learning disability and/or autism. The students spend 6 months with us in Buddys on the Buddys Training Programme, with the aim to build their skills and confidence. We also have charity shops situated in the same parade, with a wide selection of high quality clothes, homeware goods and general items. The Charity Shop Supervisors are supported to run the shops by a pool of hardworking volunteers. In addition, we run a varied weekly and monthly programme of activities for people with a learning disability and/or autism, both in Buddys and out in the local community. Buddys is available to hire. Prices on application. If you have time to spare and would like to help by volunteering or fundraising please contact us.

We're feeling the summer vibes so pop your sunnies on and join us for another night of music, dancing and fun with friends ☀😎🌴

Worthing Mencap’s annual Sport & Funday, wow, where do we start, what another fantastic year ⚽️ 🪄🪩 🎨🍦

To everyone that came along, we hope you had the best day 😀

A huge thank you has to go to the year 9s and staff at Davison High School, Worthing for kindly helping out as well as all our volunteers and supporters who make the day possible 🙏🏼

And thank you to the weather for (mostly) being kind ☀️

It will always be one of our favourite days of the year, being able to provide this free event to individuals, schools & colleges, day services and many more within our local community. Bring on the next one 🩷💚
