It’s the responsibility of all adults in Scouts to help develop a caring and supportive atmosphere, where bullying in any form is unacceptable.

Think about those people around you that might be being negatively impacted by someone or maybe a group of people. It often isn’t physical. It can be hard to spot. It might come from a feeling of power. It might be based on friendship groups…those who are accepted and those that are excluded. But often the signs are there. If you see it happening, don’t just ignore it. All it requires is one person to stand up and say it’s not acceptable. This could be all it takes to make a difference to so many others…

Please be mindful of what you say and write online, and extend the same positive courtesy as you would if meeting someone face to face. Please be respectful of the young people taking part, and leadership volunteers who put their heart and soul into delivering activities and opportunities for all of us. Most of all, be nice. On Friday evening both our Beaver section and Scout section paid there respects at the town hall.

The brilliant beavers even made their own wreaths. Very proud GSL 😀

Great to see Gilwell Scarefest making a comeback this year - loads of activities and fun being organised over the weekend. Our scout troop has a group going up this weekend to enjoy the event - let’s hope they have a weekend of scares and thrills!

Separately, one of the 2nd Worthing group leaders is volunteering on the event team this year - see if you can work out who from the photos 😜

Oh our beavers are very talented, as are there leaders!

Thankyou to all our fantasitc Beavers, here's the finished wreaths, hope you like them!

We will be placing them on the Worthing War Memorial on Friday the 8th November in memory of all servicemen / servicewomen during our town walk evening.
