Spring, almost overnight was replaced with summer and some amazing days and temperatures. Taken this morning, here are some impressive summer colours.
Don't forget Marine Gardens Putting Green, is now open, great fun for all the family.
The Marine Gardens Bowling Club season has also started check the link for match days.
All washed down with a drink, meal or ice-cream from Marine Gardens Restaurant.

You may have noticed the new operator of Marine Gardens Putting Greenmarine putting green has been working really hard, bringing the green back up to standard, on nice days it's proving to be very popular and great to see it up and running again. Today Paul (aka Huggy) made a lovely donation to FOMG in the form of some colourful plants. As you can imagine, there are many challenges forming a new business. So FOMG admin is asking all our amazing followers on here to share this post so he can get a following of his own. Maybe you run a school group, Scout / Guide group. A summer office team building event. Sharing the news Marine Gardens Putting Green is up and running would be a great help.
As this feature is very weather dependant by following him, you will get updates if he needs to close. Also there will be event news coming, such as night putting with light up golfballs and holes.

Acknowledging VE Day, we are flying the Union Flag in the gardens. VE Day (Victory in Europe Day), celebrated on May 8, 1945, marks the official end of WWII fighting against N**i Germany in Europe. It was a time of immense celebration across the UK, featuring street parties, church services, and celebrations at Buckingham Palace, but also served as a time to remember those lost.

Our gardens received a lovely gift this morning from Mrs J who is a regular visitor to Marine Gardens.
To our new followers on here, you may not be aware, unfortunately the gardens get no plant allocations from Adur & Worthing Councils. All the new planting you see is funded by the volunteers or generous donations such as this. If you would like to donate any plants, we would receive them with thanks. Unfortunately we are unable to take cash donations, however donations of plants are acceptable, the FOMG team will then plant, water and tend to them.
