Last Wednesday night, the squadron had a formal presentation evening, where awards were given out to recognise cadets for their hard work and dedication. This was the first dining in night 303 squadron had done for a long time and it was a great success!
It was lovely for cadets to have a break from their normal evenings and relax with their fellow friends.
After a lovely meal, the cadets sat through the presentations, smilling and clapping when their friends won awards, it was such a lovely environment. At the end of the night the civ com then held a raffle and lots of prizes were won. It was a fantastic night and we hope to see you all at the next year's dining in night!

Well done to…

🏅FS Fox - Cadets favourite cadet
🏅Cpl McLaughlin - Best Nco
🏅Sgt Everett - Sports awards , Best cadet
🏅Cdt Blackshaw - Best attendance
🏅Cdt Gething - Best Recruit

On Wednesday night, the cadets took part in cooking, making themselves a warm dessert that would be easy to make out on DofE. They were split into teams and had to make it between themselves. Each cadet enjoyed the night and learned new skills along the way. Well done everyone, great efforts from all!

Recently our squadron training officer has returned to his original squadron at Newark after being with us for over 6 months! In that period of time Pilot Officer Williams has achieved many of his own personal goals along side helping our squadron become a better place with many laughs and jokes along the way. You will be dearly missed and are welcome back at any time ... we appreciate everything you did at 303 and hope to see you shortly at wing events!

We’re excited to share that from Tuesday 28th April, our 303 Worksop cadets will be taking part in the Tesco Blue Token Voting Scheme!

We’re raising funds towards new sporting equipment, which will make a real difference to our training and activities.

If you’re shopping in Tesco (Worksop, Gateford Road) from then until the end of July, please remember to pick up your blue token at the checkout and vote for us - it only takes a moment, but every token really counts!

We’d really appreciate your support, so please spread the word to friends and family too.

Thank you for supporting 303 Worksop

At 303 Squadron, we are looking for enthusiastic adults to join our Adult Volunteer team.

There is no requirement for you to have any prior military knowledge or experience, but if you do it would directly benefit our cadets.

There are some fantastic opportunities available including sport, military skills, cyber, space, amongst other activities. These are just as much for you as adult volunteers as they are for the cadets.

Initially you’d join us as a Civilian Instructor on the Squadron. This is the first step into becoming a Cadet Forces Adult Volunteer. There are opportunities, with support and training, to develop into a uniformed role. You will help our cadets grow their leadership and team working skills, and can even gain nationally recognised qualifications. It can certainly have an enormous impact on your life.

We parade on both Monday & Wednesday evenings (18:30 – 21:00). There is no expectation for you to attend twice weekly, however we do ask for a commitment of up to 12 hours per month.

Requirements to join as an Adult Volunteer:
> Over 20
> Live in or be able to travel to Worksop Squadron
> Be able to pass an Enhanced DBS check

If you are interested in joining as an Adult Volunteer or would like to come and have a look around first, to see how we operate, please do let us know. You can contact the Squadron Adjutant ([email protected]) via email, or complete an interest form https://www.raf.mod.uk/aircadets/interested-in-joining-as-a-volunteer/?squadronno=303&id=63407B0D-E465-476C-A84041B4734E015F

If you think you might be able to help, in any way, please do get in touch.

Radio night ⚡️⚡️⚡️

Recently cadets took part in radio activities learning how to communicate properly when using radios.
The cadets used maps to find locations and then have a conversation regarding the area and the 6 figure grid reference through the radios. Overall great effort for those who took part and 303 can’t wait to see you progress !!!
