We are a UK wide cadet force supported by the RAF, offering unique opportunities to teenagers who are up for a challenge.

🚒🔥 Cadet Visit to Worksop Fire Station! 🔥🚒

Our cadets had a fantastic visit to Worksop Fire Station! The evening started with some theory on how to spot the signs of a possible fire and, more importantly, how to help prevent one in the first place. 🧯

Then it was time to get hands-on! They explored some of the equipment used to tackle wildfires, had a tour around the fire engine and finished the evening with some practical activities. 🚒

A brilliant evening of learning, fun and getting a real insight into the work of our local fire crews. Huge thanks to the team at Worksop Fire Station for welcoming us! 👏🔥

You’ll get the chance to meet the staff and cadets, look around our facilities and see and experience many of the activities you could get involved in — from aviation and outdoor activities to leadership, camps, skills, challenges and much more.

Whether you already know what you want to try or you’re simply curious, our open evening is a great opportunity to come along, have a look and see what you could get up to as a cadet.

🌙✨ Eclipse ,Training & New Challenges! 💪

It was a busy night for our cadets, with the excitement of the eclipse bringing plenty of people out, while also giving us the opportunity to put our training into practice.

A big milestone for some of our cadets was starting their Methods of Instruction (MOI) practice assessments. This gave them the chance to step up, take on an instructor role and begin developing their confidence in delivering training to others.

It was great to see everyone getting involved, supporting each other and taking on the challenge. From learning new skills to developing leadership and instructional abilities, nights like this show just how much our cadets can achieve. 👏

Well done to everyone involved, and good luck to those continuing with their MOI assessments! 🌟

From map reading to zip lines – what a week for SGT McLaughlin!💪🧭

SGT McLaughlin proudly represented 303 Squadron at Trent Wing’s Summer Camp, held at Inskip, taking on a packed week of adventure and challenges. He successfully achieved his Bronze NNAS Navigation Qualification also gaining his Air R***e WHT on Monday and Tuesday before testing his skills in archery and climbing, tackling the thrills of ghyll scrambling, and finishing the week with an unforgettable day at Zip World. There was even time for a game of hide and seek along the way!

The camp was a fantastic opportunity to build confidence, develop new skills, create long lasting friendships and work as part of a team. Well done, SGT McLaughlin, on a brilliant week representing the squadron! 👏

Today, we remember the formation of the legendary No. 303 (Polish) Fighter Squadron, established on 3 August 1940 during one of Britain’s darkest hours.

Made up of courageous Polish pilots who had escaped the invasion of their homeland, 303 Squadron quickly became one of the most successful fighter squadrons of the Battle of Britain. Their skill, determination, and unwavering courage helped defend the skies over Britain and left a lasting legacy of sacrifice and service.

As 303 (Worksop) Squadron RAF Air Cadets, we are proud to carry their number and honour their remarkable history. While our role today is very different, their values of resilience, teamwork, commitment, and service continue to inspire everything we do.

On this anniversary of their formation, we remember those who flew before us and reflect on the responsibility of preserving their story for future generations.

🏆 WING FIELD DAY 2026 RESULTS 🏆

What a fantastic day representing our squadron at this year’s Wing Field Day, competing against squadrons from across the Wing.

We’re incredibly proud to announce that we finished 4th Overall – our best Wing Field Day result since the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a fantastic achievement and reflects the commitment, teamwork and determination shown by every cadet throughout the year.

Our individual event results were:

🥈 Banner Competition – 2nd Place
🥉 Shooting – 3rd Place
🥉 Drill IC – 3rd Place

Alongside some excellent performances across the board:

✈️ Aviation – 10th
🎯 Archery – 15th
🪢 CTS (Team) – 9th
🪢 CTS (Individual) – 10th
💂 Drill – 7th
⛑️ First Aid – 7th
🧭 Orienteering – 8th

Wing Field Day is one of the flagship events in the RAF Air Cadets calendar, testing a wide range of skills including drill, leadership, first aid, fieldcraft, aviation knowledge, shooting and teamwork. Every cadet who represented the squadron should be incredibly proud of the dedication, resilience and professionalism they displayed throughout the competition.

A huge thank you to our staff and volunteers for their continued support and commitment in preparing the team, and congratulations to every cadet who took part. Your hard work has paid off, and this result is something the whole squadron can be proud of.

Well done to all involved—we’re already looking forward to next year’s competition!

What a fantastic weekend for everyone at 303 Worksop!

Our cadets proudly represented the squadron at the Wing Field Day, showing great teamwork, determination, and squadron spirit throughout the event. Well done to all of our cadets and staff for their hard work, commitment, and enthusiasm.

As a thank you for everyone's efforts, the Civilian Committee organised a BBQ evening with a visit from the ice cream van. It was a great opportunity for everyone to relax, catch up, and enjoy a well-earned treat together.

Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make it a successful weekend.
