BRIC has recently been part of a successful bid to deliver a Family Learning Programme across the region on behalf of North East Mayoral Strategic Authority (NEMSA.) π
The partnership is led by Thriving Together, alongside partners Northern Learning Trust, Bernicia, Children North East, Digital Voice and P*P UK.
The programme aims to address the challenges many parents face around literacy, numeracy and digital skills. Our goal is to strengthen parents confidence and abilities, improve how children learn at home, enhance family relationships and ultimately help break the cycle of disadvantage.
The initial offer will consist of short courses delivered over two 2 hour sessions, with opportunities for learners to progress onto additional learning delivered over two 2.5 hour sessions.
Our current thinking is that sessions would take place after school hours, although we would welcome the opportunity to discuss this further and explore what would work best for your families and community.
This is opportunity is not exclusively to Blyth and it expands throughout the North East Mayoral Strategic Authority.
BRIC would love the opportunity to meet with anyone of interest to discuss how we might work together on this fantastic opportunity and help us make real changes for families across our communities.
If you are interested in taking part or have queries regarding this opportunity, please contact BRIC's CEO Sharron Fawcett directly via email [email protected]
