Volunteer Leaders Wanted – Beavers, Cubs & Scouts

Could you spare a few hours to help young people build confidence, learn new skills and have adventures?

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts leadership team. Whether you can commit to every week or would prefer to join a rota alongside other leaders, we’d love to hear from you!

✨ No Scouting experience? No problem!
Full training is provided — all we’re looking for is enthusiasm, reliability and a willingness to get involved.

There are lots of ways you can help:
🔹 Help at weekly meetings
🔹 Support activities and camps
🔹 Get involved in adventurous activities
🔹 Develop new skills through specialist training
🔹 Work as part of a friendly and supportive team
🔹 Volunteer regularly or around your own availability

Most importantly, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference to young people, helping them grow in confidence, independence and life skills — while having plenty of fun along the way!

Tonight the Scouts and Explorers were out finding geocaches hidden in Soddy Gap. We found 7/8, some of the ones found were fiendishly hidden and one eluded us all. Good work by both teams navigating to and finding the ones we located.

Well done to Seaton Explorer Scouts on participating in this year's Dragnet Cumbria over the weekend. This is the first year in many where Seaton have fielded a team, but we hope with the experience gained it won't be the last for this relatively young team.

Tonight Scouts and Explorers undertook a cycle ride. This is one of the advantages of our HQ being adjacent to a cycle path. Well done everyone, we got round almost exactly to plan. No photos of the Explorers, they did the same route but blazed ahead.
The way our Scouts treat each other with compassion, support and encouragement on these kind of activities is amazing. Really excellent team work lads, good effort all round 💪.
