Today the star of our new art trail - Peter Rabbit – has been out and about in the warrens of Worcester.

Peter Rabbit is one of the most loveable characters in the world, charming generations with his adventurous spirit, curiosity, and just the right amount of mischief. His stories have shaped childhoods, teaching lessons about courage, kindness, and resilience - even in the face of loss.

Peter Rabbit in the warrens of Worcester will take place from 12 July to 5 September 2027, a year which marks the 125th anniversary of Beatrix Potter’s ‘The Tale of Peter Rabbit’ first being published.

Here they are! Meet two of the beautiful bunnies joining us for Peter Rabbit in the warrens of Worcester in the summer of 2027!

They are a large and small Peter Rabbit sculpture and are called Poppy (large) and Peter (small).

If there is one thing rabbits excel at, it’s snuggling close. Ever watchful and ever caring, they tuck together in cosy nests when the weather turns. Just as we do here at St Richard’s – putting our arms around patients, families and bereaved people across Worcestershire. These charming creatures perfectly capture the spirit of St Richard’s Hospice.

Poppy has been designed and painted by Paint & Glaze. who designed ‘Waddle I Do Without You’ and ‘It’s Penguining to look a lot like Christmas’ for the great Waddle of Worcester in 2024. Katie also designed elephants and giraffes for our trails in 2021 and 2018.

Peter has been painted by Jodie Silverman who is a Manchester-based fine artist and has painted for various UK art trails.

It’s time! We are so happy to say that a posse of Peter Rabbit sculptures 🐰 will hop into the city in summer 2027!

Peter Rabbit in the warrens of Worcester will be our fourth Wild in Art trail brought to the city by St Richard's Hospice and will last eight weeks from Monday, July 12 to Sunday, September 5 2027.

Thirty-five large rabbits will line Worcester’s streets and open spaces in another fun, free trail before being auctioned to raise funds for local hospice care. They’ll be joined by around forty smaller bunnies designed and decorated by local schools and community groups.

We are SO excited to say our next art trail will arrive in Worcester in the summer of 2027!

We know how much you loved our hospice giraffes, ele-friends, and penguins and can’t wait to bring a fourth Wild in Art trail to the city’s streets and open spaces next summer.

We’ve yet to reveal what the sculpture will be – so keep your eyes peeled here for more when we announce on the evening of Monday 2 March 🦒🐘🐧❓.
