West Worcester Beacon

West Worcester Beacon St Philip & St James, Hallow
Christ Church, Lower Broadheath
St Bartholomew's, Grimley
St Martin's, Holt It was consecrated on 4th May 1869.

We are warm and friendly family Churches, and love to welcome all who visit us. We believe that God is active in this world and that none of us are complete until we know His healing love in our hearts. We invite you to join our fellowship as we explore together what God has planned for our lives through our journey into wholeness. We would love to welcome you to share worship in fellowship with u

s at our regular services. Our aim is to offer a wide spectrum of both modern and traditional worship that provides for all ages so that we can come to worship God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The earliest church in Hallow was a small stone building on the bank above the River Severn. Nash, the Worcestershire historian, says that it had Saxon masonry over the north door. The present building, however, was built mostly from local sandstone brought from a quarry at Holt. It is a good example of Victorian-Gothic architecture, in the style of the 13th-14th Centuries.

This year, Hallow Primary School and Hallow Church are delighted to be working together to support the Link to Hope Christmas Shoebox Appeal.

Link to Hope sends shoeboxes to people experiencing poverty, hardship and isolation in Ukraine, Moldova, Bulgaria and Romania.

The 2026 appeal is particularly special because the boxes are prepared for families and elderly people, rather than just children.

Hallow School has already invited families to save their shoeboxes, and during the autumn term we hope to fill as many as possible to send off at the beginning of November.

If you would like to get involved watch out for more information soon! Whether you fill a box, donate an item or make a donation towards the shipment charge, you can help us share some hope this Christmas.

Hallow Primary School and Hallow Church – working together to share hope.

Link to Hope’s is a Christian charity and its aim is to combat poverty, give humanitarian aid and have special concern for the most disadvantaged. The poorest – especially people struggling to survive in poor villages that lack basic amenities that we take for granted
