Hello, Diglis folk.

Organisers from Worcester City Run have asked us to share the information below The run will come through Diglis around 9:15am on Sunday 13th September.

Roads will be closed from 5am - see images for full info of routes and times

"We know a lot of the residents will be used to the presence of the runs, but the route has had a few changes in the Diglis area this year and want to ensure everyone is aware of the change in closures.

We encourage anyone with questions/access needs to get in touch with [email protected].

Thank you".

Friends of Diglis Fields want to wish all runners and supporters a great day.

Big thanks to the fantastic volunteers from The WEG - Worcester Environmental Group 🌿🙌

They spent the day clearing back overgrown brambles and dead foliage from around our community fruit trees, as well as the cherry trees planted by the Canal & River Trust a few years back.

Hopefully, we’ve given them a little room to breathe and a fresh lease of life! 🍒🍎✨

If you're free tomorrow the The WEG - Worcester Environmental Group will be around sorting out the orchard from 9.30am

Thankyou. Thankyou. Thankyou.
We love our community and it was great to see so many of you trying a bike with Bike Worcester, bike course with Worcester St John's Cycling Club, riding on the model railway with Worcester and District Model Engineers, drumming with drumlove & playing at our play tent and with Play Worcester's Big Blue blocks. The WEG - Worcester Environmental Group & Friends of Laugherne Brook Local Nature Reserve loved meeting you all and sharing their environmental skills and knowledge. Also our first aiders were awesome providing first aid skills as well as making us feel safe.

Thanks for supporting Diglis Hub as they work hard to get a much needed community centre in the area.

Thanks to all the vendors Barbourne C***r Cafe Afloat Asian Kitchen Curry & Ericka's Ice Cream for providing quality eats, drinks and treats.

A special thanks to our awesome volunteers who worked hard behind the scenes to ensure the event went well and to our local councillors Adam Scott , Louis Stephen & Lynn Denham, Worcester Councillor for supporting the event.

Thanks to Friends of Fort Royal Park and Commandery Gardens for loan of their equipment - we couldn't do it without them & do check their page for their awesome events.

The winners of the Treasure Map have been announced. Thanks to Piston Distillery The Kings Head Worcester & GoodRoots for their generous prizes.

Thanks again - we're going to have a bit of a rest but will be starting to think about Wassail real soon.

We're so excited for tomorrow and love an opportunity to meet our lovely community & friends.

We couldn't do this without all the lovely local vendors and community groups. Thanks to Friends of Fort Royal Park and Commandery Gardens for helping out.

If you have an hour to spare to help
* set up (from 10am),
* set down (after 4pm) or
* run our refreshments stall, tombola or treasure map (12-4pm)

then please get in touch - we'd really appreciate it.

Looking forward to seeing you.
