We are very excited to announce a post for our annual Wassail.

Sunday 24th January 2027

Expect all the usual shenanigans and lots more besides.... we're very excited.

More revealed as we plot and plan. Do shout if you can help with setting up gazebos, making toast for the tree, preparing our pathside lanterns, or carrying a flaming torch - all help welcome.

We are considering hosting a few lantern making workshops prior to the event let us know if you can help, have ideas or would just love to join in.

Message from the Canal & River Trust newsletter.

Tree Planting by Diglis Bridge
An old orchard here is overgrown with brambles. Canal and River Trust volunteers plan to clear the brambles. Once done, we can plant 20-30 fruit trees. We need volunteers to help, so if you can make it, please put the date and time in your calendar.

Date: Sunday 15th November, 10am.

What an absolutely awesome turnout for our bramble bashing/litter pick today - keeping the nature reserve a lovely place to walk & spend time in.

Thanks to Ella at The WEG - Worcester Environmental Group for organising us and bringing the tools, Marcus at for bringing the energy and all the gorgeous volunteers who turned up despite the weather.

Just *bumping* this as it's today.
We hope to meet you today by the model railway - the weather's a bit pants but we'll be quite sheltered in the nature reserve.

On Sunday 27th September 10am-12pm we are teaming up with the Friends of Diglis Fields and the Good Gym for a big community litter pick. Everyone is invited as we take a walk through the stunning Cherry Orchard Nature Reserve removing litter and chopping back some of the overgrown brambles 🌳🍒

This is a great opportunity for those who can’t normally make it to our volunteering sessions to get involved, and for anyone wanting to connect with the local community. Tools will be provided but I’d advise wearing long sleeves and long trousers. We are meeting on Diglis Playing Fields, I really hope to see you there!
