Hello everyone. Firstly, I would like to wish our long-term and first ever member Ali a very happy birthday and many happy returns! She has been attending for 8 years now! 🎁 🎂

Secondly, I’d like to remind everyone that the group is not on this coming bank holiday Monday the 25th May as many people can’t make it. We will resume again on Monday June 1st for a joint birthday party for me, my Mum and Ali. 🍰 🫖 🥪 🍫 🍭

⭐️ WORCESTER EVENING GROUP ⭐

If you live in Worcester, a man aged 18+ & looking for ways to improve your mental health and wellbeing, then we’re just what you need!

Thanks to funding from the The National Lottery Community Fund we are starting a new group, running every fortnight, to offer a safe space to talk about your concerns, and get support for your mental wellness for everyday issues like work, relationships, money, housing & being a parent etc. The stuff that gets us down.

We understand reaching out isn’t easy, but we’ll offer a friendly and approachable welcome. Our groups are small so you won’t feel intimidated.

Pop down and enjoy a cuppa and a chat with Christian & Matt, our hugely experienced Mental Wellbeing Coaches.

We’re being hosted by Unison, Griffith House, 30 Loves Grove, Worcester WR1 3BU. Car parking available.

DM if you have any questions.

Today we had a wonderful time at Mind a Chat? Disability Peer Support group. It’s a good job that we’ve moved into the main hall now as we were mega busy and had a lovely guest speaker in from Healthwatch Worcestershire . Do get in touch with them and fill out their feedback form if you have any feedback on anything to do with health and social care including GP’s, care homes etc.

Next week we’ve got someone coming in to talk to us about a new hoarding support group and service that has not long opened in Worcestershire.

I’m delighted. Do you know that the group has been going on and off for nearly 8 years now?! Obviously we couldn’t do it much in 2020 because of Covid.

It’s taken a long time with many challenges, barriers and a lot of adversity but I feel that the group now is what it was always meant to be and we’ve finally managed to achieve the vision I had set out for it.

I know we’ve helped a lot of people over the years and we plan to continue for as long as we are capable.

This isn’t a one woman show and I wouldn’t be able to do it without Lorraine, Sean and his Daughter Dannie. xoxo

Jodie ‘Ruth’.
