This week Kempsey WI is supporting the 4th national WI Week Of River Action. We want the River Severn (and all our other watercourses) to be clean and safe for wildlife to live in and for people to enjoy.
The WI is making waves to ask the UK government to stop the polluters, fix the broken water system and restore nature.

As it's July, Kempsey WI isn't having an indoor meeting this month. We will be back in the Youth Centre on Monday 17 August from 2-4pm.

At our June meeting we elected a new President and Committee. Some of our members exhibited their floral art prowess. The competition subject was floral art on the theme of Wimbledon.

Our members rose to the occasion, some accompanying their flowers with things like knitted strawberries and cream, trainers, balls and rackets. The winner was presented with the Mary Pugh rose-bowl and the runner up with a small salver - awards in memory of a former Kempsey WI member.
