🐾 Calling all 4-legged pawsome woofing pals and their humans! 🐾

Join us tomorrow, 6th September, at the Woodplumpton and Catforth Village Fete for a day full of fun and excitement! 🎉🐶

We're thrilled to announce our **fun dog show**, featuring classes for the **Prettiest Girl**, **Handsome Fella**, **Wagging Tail**, and a combined class for **Best Trick/Agility**. The winners from each class will then compete for the coveted title of **Best in Show** for our 2025 fete! 🎖️🐕

Every entry wins a prize, so come on out and show off your furry friends! Judging kicks off at **3 PM**, with the last entries accepted by **2:30 PM**. The entry fee is just **£2 per dog**.

Meet Arlo, our confident contender for the Handsome Fella class! Just look at him—he might have a chance, although we suspect he’ll be back to his usual muddy self by tomorrow! 😂

We can’t wait to see everyone there for a fun-filled day, complete with free kids' rides, live music from **Stone the Crows**, the crowning of the Rose Queen, worm charming, welly wanging, cow pat bingo, tug of war, and plenty of stalls. Plus, there’ll be a well-stocked bar and BBQ to keep everyone fueled! 🍔🍻

The fete opens at **11 AM**, and later in the evening, don’t miss the fireworks at **8:45 PM**, followed by live music and free pie and peas at **The Wheatsheaf**! Kids are welcome until **10 PM** in the pub!

And if you need a lift, there’s **free transport** available from Cottam and Catforth! The blue bus leaves Catforth at **12 PM**, making stops at Woodplumpton, Ashbridge, Tyneham Way, and back again. Just stick your hand out, and it will stop for you! 🚍

Woodplumpton and Catforth Village Fete

COMMUNITY BUS

The bus will start at Catforth Village Hall at 12 o'clock, drop off at Woodplumpton and then pick up at Ashbridge Nursey and return to Woodplumpton via Tyneham Way.

The driver is happy to pick up along this route, no set stops (Blue Bus)

Fireworks are back this year by popular demand 🎆🎇

The fireworks will be held at 8:45 pm on the field followed by free yes free pie and peas at the wheatsheaf 👌
The wheatsheaf will also have entertainment on !! Children welcome until 10pm x x

Woodplumpton and Catforth Village Fete Fireworks! 🎆 🎇 Saturday 6th September.
Following the closing of the fete on the Orchard playing field, entertainment will start in The Wheatsheaf at 6pm, fireworks 8.30pm, FREE pie and peas in The Wheatsheaf 9pm.
Children welcome until 10pm! 🎊🎆🎉

After last year’s success, we will once again beholding a fancy dress competition for all primary school children

Anyone wishing to take part should meet at the Church at 12.45pm, to walk with the Rose Queen up to the field
