The Early May Bank Holiday weekend is always a favourite for getting out on the course, and last year it even recorded the busiest day for golf in 2025.

Promising young golfer Annabel Blake, 17, from Royal Norwich, has seen her game go from strength to strength — and we’re proud to have played a small part in her journey.

Just six months after receiving an England Golf Trust grant, Annabel reduced her handicap from 10.9 to 9.5, helped by lessons and new equipment.

Golf has been transformative for her on and off the course and we’re so proud to support talented young golfers like Annabel as they chase their goals. ⛳💙

Support the England Golf Trust by taking part in the new Titleist Women’s Four-Ball National Competition! 🤝

By entering, your club can help raise vital funds that support young people to stay in the game — while also embracing one of the fastest-growing formats in golf. Over the past 12 months, four-ball scoring has risen by an incredible 68% across England, showing just how popular team golf has become.

This new competition creates more inclusive opportunities for women and girls to play, compete and progress all the way to a National Final.

Here’s how your club can get involved:

✅ Run a women’s four-ball Stableford qualifier
✅ Enter your winning pair for just £10
✅ Make a recommended £5 per pair donation from the qualifying round to the England Golf Trust

How the England Golf Trust is helping Ethan play his best golf 🥰

17‑year‑old Ethan Fanneran‑Burley from Etchinghill Golf loves the game — but with dwarfism and carpal tunnel syndrome, poorly fitted clubs often held him back.

Thanks to the England Golf Trust Disability Pathway Grant, Ethan received a custom‑fitted set of PING Prodi G clubs, helping him play more consistently, grow in confidence and even win an annual disability competition with Kent Golf. 👏

Applications for the Disability Pathway Grant are now open for young golfers aged 5–25 with a disability or long-term health condition.

The grant can support essential equipment, coaching, club access, and travel to disability golf events. Find out more and apply via the link in the comments. Closes 31st March 2026. ⬇️
