Please join us for the RDA (Woodbridge and District Group) Annual General Meeting 2025/2026

🗓️ Thursday 8th October
⏰ 6:30-8:30pm
📍 Nettus Barn, Monewden, Woodbridge IP13 7DE

This year, for the first time, we would like to give everyone the chance to celebrate some of the wonderful contributions and achievements of the last year - a year in which we celebrated our 40th anniversary and introduced new activities to our Group.

There are two important categories that we need your help with:

🏆 Volunteer of the Year

This will be as voted for by our volunteer team. The criterion for this award is someone who has demonstrated our values (shown on boards in the indoor school) and lives our vision (on the wall of the community room). Your vote will be treated anonymously. You can email your vote to our Chair [email protected].

We'd love your help in recognizing someone who you feel really goes that extra mile to support the Group, the volunteer team, our participants and our horses.

🏆 Participant's Choice

If you are a participant, parent or carer, we'd love you to vote for the staff member or volunteer who makes the most difference to you and why. Again, votes are anonymous and go to [email protected]

PLEASE MAKE SURE ALL NOMINATIONS ARE RECEIVED BY FRIDAY 25th SEPTEMBER.

We hope you'll join us for an evening of catching up, tea and cake, hearing about our great work and what's planned for the year ahead. It's such an exciting time for our Group and we're so glad to have you with us on this journey. Thank you for choosing us and for your continued support 💙

To help us with refreshments, please can you let us know whether you'll be attending by emailing [email protected]. If you have any dietary requirements or accessibility needs, please do include that in your rsvp.

We are on the lookout for a heavy duty, self propelled petrol lawn mower with a 19 or 20 inch (48 - 51 cm) cut, similar to the one that Lulu is beautifully modelling here* 🌾

We are looking to raise around £500 to buy a new one, but would happily take a used one in good working order if anyone has one to donate

If you would like to donate some money towards this it would be greatly appreciated and you can do so on our gofundme page by visiting www.rdawoodbridge.org.uk/donations-and-legacies

Alternatively if you do have a lawnmower in good working order which you would like to donate you can let us know by emailing [email protected]

Thank you in advance 💙

*Lulu actually said she had better things to do with her weekend when we asked her to mow the lawn so we had to make this AI image instead 🙄

Vaulting is often described as ‘gymnastics on horses’, but sometimes this can sound off-putting. It’s actually a lot more achievable than you might think! Many people who cannot ride independently can vault instead, because:

🌟 A coach can sit with you to assist with posture and balance

🌟 We do most of our training on barrels

🌟 When a horse is used, the horse is under the control of a lunger on the ground

🌟 If a saddle is uncomfortable, vaulters can find another position

🌟 Vaulting sessions allow plenty of time for rest

Why not come and see what you could do? You can download an application form from our website here: www.rdawoodbridge.org.uk/horse-riding
