Basket Brigade UK The day itself, December 23rd, is like no other. It is a hard working but FUN day and it is so rewarding to those who volunteer. Charity No 1200548

Basket Brigade UK is a loving, charitable organisation who deliver baskets of Food, Love & Hope on December 23rd every year to those who could really do with a helping hand at this time of year. Hundreds and hundreds of people (600-800!) come together for one day and help create about 1,500 baskets of food (and love) which they later deliver to those in need. Those who give their time for this day

will tell you just how much they get back. Often just seeing the faces of the recipients when they open their door to a basket of food, is beautiful. If you would like to be part of Basket Brigade UK, please go to basketbrigade.org.uk

*Our charitable objects are “To relieve the need of individuals and families in the UK, who are experiencing poverty or financial hardship at Christmas time, by the provision of food parcels, via a distribution network, to enable those in need access to a nutritious and substantial meal that they could not otherwise afford.”.

Meet Genny Jones.

Over 12 years ago, she was the family we helped. Recently divorced. Caring for loved ones. Facing a Christmas she couldn’t afford. A stranger delivered a Basket Brigade basket to her door. And in her hour of need, it changed everything. Not just the food. The message: You’re not forgotten. You matter. You’re not alone.

That moment transformed her and for 12 years, she’s been giving back to the community every single year. Every December 23rd, Genny shows up. She packs baskets. She delivers hope. She dances. She becomes the stranger who once saved her Christmas.

She knows what it feels like to be on the receiving end. She knows what these baskets really mean. And that’s why she’ll never stop giving back.

Thank you, Genny. For your courage, your heart, and your 12 years of proving that kindness creates kindness
