Well, here’s something special… 💂‍♂️🌺

Wolverhampton Central Library is planning a Remembrance Exhibition for October/November 2026, and they’re collecting used poppies of all kinds to create a stunning city display.

You can drop yours off here at The Royal Oak — the collection box will be out for the next week or so.

The CHINDIT also has a box too

Let’s make sure Wolverhampton’s tribute is something truly special.
Bring your poppies and be part of it. ❤️

🩸 Why We Wear Poppies 🌺

This haunting map was created in 1919 — each square represents 250 metres of the Somme battlefield. The blue numbers show the number of bodies found in each section.

Every single number represents a life lost, a family broken, and a sacrifice made for our freedom.

When we pause to remember, and when we wear our poppies with pride, it’s for them — the men whose names are carved on our memorials, and the countless others who never came home.

Lest We Forget.
