Are you too hot at work? Right now, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is updating its guidance on safe working temperatures. The guidance includes a minimum temperature, but not maximum temperature.

Can you add your name to tell the HSE that we need a maximum working temperature to keep people safe? Sign the TUC campaign petition here

TUC Midlands Women Chainmakers' festival in Cradley Heath this Saturday; the largest annual celebration of women trade unionists' history in Britain.
This year for the first time UNITE Wolverhampton WM/6150 branch has sponsored the festival. Our sponsorship has enabled provision of public toilets for the event.

Workers at Walsall Village Hotel, including hospitality, gym, events, reception and housekeeping staff, have been taking strike action since Wednesday. Represented by Unite, the dispute is over the hotel's refusal to pay the Living Wage rate of £13.45 an hour, unequal pay for younger workers doing the same jobs as older colleagues, and the company's refusal to recognise Unite for collective bargaining.
