The ARC - the ashmore rescue for cats

The ARC - the ashmore rescue for cats Rescue for cats/kittens in need. Based in Wolverhampton, rehoming through out the UK. A minimum donat We are willing to rehome nationwide.

I neuter ALL cats and kittens meaning none will leave me and go on to reproduce adding to the amount of cats and kittens abandoned or stuck in shelters/rescues. All cats and kittens are also vaccinated and microchipped before leaving. I do not vaccinate for FeLV simply because a lot of the cats/kittens that arrive are poorly or have low immune systems due to neglect and this particular vaccination

can cause them more harm than good. I flea and worm treat all cats and kittens and they are blood tested for FeLV/FIV wherever needed. I'm a small self funding rescue and money is extremely tight - in fact it costs me far more money to look after these cats and kittens than I have back in adoption/donation fees - I do not 'make' anything out of them. With food, litter, flea and worm treatment, vaccinations, microchipping, blood tests and of course neutering plus vet fees in cases of illness etc, costs are high so I ask for a minimum donation of £135 for all cats and kittens. You may ask 'why should I pay that when I can get a 'free ad' kitten?' The answer is simple. You have then got to pay for the vaccinating, neutering, microchipping, flea & worm treatment. You will want to know that the new kitten is healthy - mine are all vet checked prior to neutering, you will not have the hassle of going backwards and forwards to the vets for the vaccinating/neutering - and most of all you are rescuing a cat or kitten in need of a forever home. A homecheck is required before anyone meets the cats and kittens. Ways you can help The ARC:

‼️‼️ URGENT WARNING‼️‼️

This is a heads up to anyone registering their pets microchip. Please be aware of this company - Petchip Global. From what we can work out this is a scam. One of my recent adopters tried to register the microchips for the two cats he adopted and was directed through a link to a different company. We use Animal Tracker and when he filled in the online forms he was asked to pay £20 and was sent the email shown in the screenshot below. Initially he thought that the cat was then registered but fairly quickly realised that something wasn’t right so contacted me to tell me his concerns. I’ve since spoken with Animal Tracker and confirmed that the microchip was not registered and it spears that this is a scam. Not only is it ripping people off but this is more worryingly meaning that people think their cats will be reunited with them if they ever go missing. This is NOT the case!
Please be very careful and if you are concerned seek advice!

💙🏠Rehoming post for Reggie & Max🏠💙
Strictly indoor home or with a catio/cat proofed garden required

Reggie & Max are now starting their search for a loving home together. They arrived separately but have become best friends since meeting each other. Their foster mom has told me that Reggie (Ginger & white) is the livelier of the two, a cheeky little kitten 😻 and Max (black) is the quieter of the two.
They are typical playful kittens who will brighten up any home😻 They are just over three months old and are funny little boys. I don’t see why they wouldn’t get along with other cats too.
They are now both neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and upto date with flea and worm treatments.
If you feel you can offer Reggie & Max the safe indoor home that they deserve please send your full address and a contact number plus a little info about your home and family life so that a homecheck can be arranged.
We ask for a minimum donation of £135 for EACH cat or kitten which only goes part way towards the care and treatment that they receive while in rescue.
We are based in Wolverhampton but rehome throughout the UK as long as a satisfactory homecheck can be completed x

‼️Notice of reduced rescue work‼️

Lots of you will be aware of the situation with my partner and his ongoing issues with his leg after the accident at work over two years ago. This week he’ll be seeing his consultant to discuss when he will have another frame surgically fixed to his leg in an attempt to fix what’s gone wrong.
Due to this, I won’t be taking in anymore cats for the foreseeable unless there are spaces available within the foster homes but even that needs to slow down as I won’t have time to run around to everyone if they need assistance. I will be finding homes for the cats already in rescue so please keep sharing their posts so that I can then concentrate on the upcoming hospital visits and caring for Baz again.
As a team, we will continue to help where we can but it will have to be on a smaller scale. If, and it is a real possibility, Baz loses his leg I really can’t see how I’ll be able to continue at all 😔
I will keep you all updated as things progress but for now, please don’t tag the rescue or myself as I won’t be able to help I’m afraid x

There must be someone looking for gentle little cat to share their home with…Sooty hasn’t had a single enquiry and she’s such a beautiful girl. She’s shy when she first meets you but soon settles when she feels safe x
