What another great weekend at 1047.

Today we hosted 10 cadets from around Sector 3 to complete their RAFAC Bronze Cyber course.

For some this is the first part of achieving their Bronze cyber qualification.

However for our very own Cpl Tonks and Cpl Lewis from , this was they final part and they have now been awarded the RAFAC Bronze Cyber qualification. Congratulations both !!!

Massive Thank you to Pilot Officer Bridgeman from and Cadet Warrent Officer Dos-Santos from , for leading with the delivery of the course !

As a unit we are having an open evening for all cadets who are interested in joining us at 1047 (City of Wolverhampton) Squadron.

The evening will allow prospective cadets and parents to ask about the organisation, hear from some of our cadets about their experiences.

This weekend was another busy one for cadets of 1047.

Saturday saw a number of cadets attend the inter-squadron Athletics competition, in which our cadets competed against other cadets from the other 23 squadrons within the Staffordshire wing.

Sunday, we had Cadet Jeer attend alongside four other cadets from the wing to complete the RAFAC Bronze Air Training package course.
Following her successful completion, Cadet Jeer was awarded her Bronze Wings by Flt Lt M Smith, Staffordshire wing aviation officer.

Another great weekend for the squadron, and another one planned for next weekend.

What a busy weekend for our cadets!

Saturday saw cadets and staff attending and supporting the Wolverhampton Victory in Europe Day celebrations at the RAFA Clubhouse Wolverhampton.

This event saw cadets participating in a Parade and running insight activities with members of the public and promoting our organisation.

Sunday saw three Cadets complete Air Experience flying with .

A start of many busy weekends for 1047 as we enter the warmer months.

A new chapter unfolds for FS Lad as Staffordshire Wing Lord Lieutenant Cadet for the West Midlands Lord Lieutenant !
Yesterday evening marked his Investiture, which was attended by his family and friends as well as squadron and wing staff.

As a Lord Lieutenant Cadet, FS Lad will support the Lord Lieutenant in various duties, from civic events to ceremonies.

We're extremely proud of FS Lad and can't wait to see what the future holds for him in this role.

What a Great day for 1047.

Yesterday saw three cadets completing Air Experience flying at RAF Cosford.

A massive congratulations to Cadet Kaul who following his flight, has now successfully completed all required elements, for his Blue wings and was presented these by his Pilot.
