When we looked out the window of YMCA Coffee at the Clock every afternoon, we saw hundreds of young people walking home from school. We wanted to create somewhere safe, positive and welcoming for them. Today, that vision has become the YMCA Youth Cafe, which welcomes around 80 young people every week!

The Youth Cafe is just one example of the fantastic initiative we're blessed to have in our Black Country team, to create valuable spaces in partnership with local organisations.

We're incredibly proud to share that YMCA Black Country Group has been shortlisted for two national YMCA Youth Matters Awards: YMCA of the Year & Training & Education Project of the Year for our DWP Youth Hub in West Bromwich

These nominations recognise the impact being made every day across the Black Country. From helping young people find employment and develop their confidence, to providing safe housing, early years education and community spaces, this recognition belongs to everyone who has played a part in our journey.

If you're looking for out of school care for your children in Sandwell over the Summer holidays. We are partnering with Serenity for Girls, who will be running HAF sessions in our Sports Hall during the holidays. Girls aged 8 - 12 are welcome to join between 10am - 2pm each day and will enjoy a hot meal and snacks along with plenty of fun activities whilst meeting new friends.
