What does it take to rebuild a life beyond the justice system?

At Trailblazers, we support people in prison and after release with 1:1 mentoring and practical support, helping them move forward with confidence and purpose.

We work alongside people as they rebuild their lives, develop new skills, and create positive futures for themselves and their communities.

Everything we do is guided by our values:
💚 Accountability – taking responsibility for the difference we can make
💚 Commitment – showing up with consistency and dedication
💚 Empathy – listening without judgement
💚 Integrity – being honest and true to our purpose
💚 Trailblazing – always learning and finding better ways to support people

These aren’t just words. They shape how we show up, every single day.

If you want to be part of creating change, we’d love to hear from you.

🌈 Pride is about belonging.

And everyone deserves a future they’re proud of.

At Trailblazers, we support people leaving prison with one to one mentoring before and after release.

For LGBTQ+ people, that journey can come with extra challenges, which is why we focus on trust, respect and truly seeing each person.

Because when people feel accepted, they can move forward and build a new future.

🏳️‍🌈 This Pride Month, we stand for inclusion, dignity and second chances.

This Volunteers' Week, we’re celebrating three incredible volunteer mentors making a profound difference 🎉

We’re proud to share that they’ve been recognised through the Room to Reward scheme — celebrating volunteers who go above and beyond in their communities with a well‑earned break at a participating hotel.

Each of these mentors shows what it means to be trailblazing. They learn, adapt and find new ways to support the people they work alongside.

💚 They don’t just show up.
💚 They listen.
💚 They reflect.
💚 They respond.

👉 Swipe to meet our award winners and hear why they were selected.

Because of them:
People feel supported. People build confidence. People move forward 💚

Behind every step forward is someone who chose to listen, learn and believe in what’s possible.

This Volunteers' Week, we’re celebrating our volunteer mentors.
Thank you for the difference you make every day.

👉 Inspired by our mentors? Drop us a message to find out how you can get involved.

This Volunteer Week, we’re celebrating our volunteer mentors and the difference they make.

Change starts with believing in people.

Throughout this Volunteers Week, we’ve heard what mentoring feels like, and why people choose to do it.

Today, we’re celebrating something bigger.

What becomes possible when people are given support and trust. Because no one is defined by their past. And no one should have to face the future alone.

Our volunteer mentors see potential where others may only see the past.
They create space for reflection, growth and new opportunities.

👉 Swipe to hear how our mentors describe the change they see and the role they play in it.

This is how we reduce reoffending.
This is how people build confidence, stability and a different future.
This is how new futures begin.

Thank you to our volunteer mentors for the difference you make every day.

👉 If you are a funder, partner or employer who wants to support this work, we would love to connect.

This Volunteers' Week, we’re celebrating the people who choose to show up.

At Trailblazers, those are our volunteer mentors.

People who give their time. Who listen. Who believe in someone’s potential, even when others may not.

Today, we’re hearing from them, in their own words.

“I mentor because believing in someone can change everything.”

Our mentors come from different backgrounds, with different experiences, but they are united by one thing.
💚 A belief that change is possible.

👉 Swipe to hear from our mentors, in their own words.

Mentoring is not about having all the answers.
It is about showing up, building trust, and helping someone move forward with confidence, stability and a future away from reoffending.

This Volunteers' Week, we’re celebrating you. Thank you for the difference you make every day and for inspiring new futures.

👉 If you’re inspired by our mentors and want to get involved, we’d love to hear from you.

“My mentor has shown me the importance of having someone supportive, and someone who truly believes in you.”

This week, we’ve been celebrating the mentors who quietly change lives.

Today, we’re hearing from people who have experienced that support first-hand.

For people leaving prison, having someone who shows up consistently can change everything.

Someone to listen. Someone who believes in them. Someone who doesn’t give up.

These are their words.

👉 Swipe to hear what mentoring has meant to the people we support.

Because of mentoring, people are not facing release alone. They are building confidence, stability and a future away from reoffending.

Thank you for continuing to inspire new futures.

This , we’re celebrating our mentors who quietly change lives.

Today, we’re sharing what that looks like behind the scenes.

At Trailblazers, our staff work closely with volunteer mentors supporting people through some of the most important transitions in their lives.

They see the consistency.
The trust being built over time.
The moments that don’t always get seen.

Because of mentors, people are not just supported in the moment. They are building confidence, stability and a future away from reoffending.

👉 Swipe to hear what our staff want to say this Volunteers Week about the mentors they work alongside every day.

Thank you for continuing to inspire new futures.

It’s Volunteer Week 2026!

At Trailblazers, this week is about our volunteer mentors who quietly change lives.

Our mentors:
💚 Show up in prisons and in communities
💚 Listen without judgement
💚 Believe in people when belief has often been in short supply

Because of them, people leaving prison are not facing release alone. They are building confidence, stability and hope, one relationship at a time.

Thank you to our volunteer mentors for inspiring new futures.

In this short video, our CEO shares a message of thanks to the volunteers who make this work possible.

To every Trailblazers mentor: thank you for the time, care and commitment you give. Your support helps reduce reoffending and opens the door to a different future.

👉 Follow along this week as we share messages, stories and thanks from the people whose lives you’ve helped shape.

What difference does the right support make after prison?

Our 2025 Impact Report shows the impact of Trailblazers’ mentoring clearly:
✅ 91% of men supported did not reoffend 12 months after release
✅ 168 men supported in 2025
✅ £7 of social value created for every £1 invested

By starting support before release and continuing in the community, our mentors help people rebuild confidence, navigate challenges and move towards a future free from crime.

If you’d like to understand more about how we reduce reoffending and inspire new futures, take a look at our Impact Report.

One week to go until Volunteers’ Week 💛

Volunteers’ Week is a moment to pause and recognise our Volunteer Mentors who walk alongside people leaving prison, often at one of the hardest points in their lives.

At Trailblazers, our volunteers offer more than time. They offer belief.

They start mentoring before release, stand with people through the prison gate, and stay alongside them as they rebuild confidence, stability and hope for the future.

Because of our volunteer mentors, people leaving prison are better supported to find work, rebuild relationships and move away from reoffending. One relationship really can change the direction of a life.

Next week, we’ll be sharing our gratitude and celebrating some of the incredible volunteers behind this impact. The quiet champions inspiring new futures every day.

👉 If you’re an organisation, funder or partner who believes in second chances, follow along and help us shine a light on what’s possible when people are supported, not written off.
